Andhra Pradesh Residential Degree College article.

Hi. Thanks for starting and working on the Andhra Pradesh Residential Degree College article. I've tried to improve the article, and would be keen to progress further if you can indicate other sources. One question, why does Nagarjunasagar redirect to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam? Keep up the good work. Cheers. GFHandel   23:44, 14 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the over-hasty tagging. It was a rather tremendous mistake and I assure you it won't happen again. I hope it did not discourage you from contributing to Wikipedia, and I will need to apologize if my over-hasty tagging made you feel like you were being discouraged from contributing. I will try to improve the article too - keep up the good work →Bmusician 13:23, 15 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Template:Andhra Pradesh residential degree college(APRDC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Template:Andhra Pradesh residential degree college(APRDC) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Kottesrinu. Of course it is great that you are working to help build an encyclopaedia, but it is also important to remember that it isn't solely your encyclopaedia—instead, it is everyone's; and as such there are many rules and guidelines of which you must be mindful if you want to have a successful and pleasant time here. If you are adding to a biography of a living person you must always base your text on reliable sources, however you should generally aim to base all your additions on reliable sources (e.g. even if it isn't a biography article). If you don't know how to add a reference, then just add whatever you can (e.g. just add a web address) and someone else will come along and fix it.

As an example, you recently added "J Joseph" as a principal of the APRDC, however you didn't indicate a supporting source. It is not sufficient that you just know something to be true, instead you should aim to provide a supporting reference when you are adding information concerning people (as you can see I did for the other principals in the section). Additionally, I've read the sources in the article, and it is clear that recent text that you added has been copied directly from the source—which is something that cannot be done on Wikipedia—and I've had to remove it.

If you need assistance, please don't hesitate to ask on my talk page; however please take the time to read some of the links at the top of this page (because you will experience a much better time at WP if do). GFHandel   21:45, 15 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
