June 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article List of unreleased Michael Jackson material, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Please Use Edit Summaries edit

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Head (Prince song) edit

This song clearly fails WP:NSONG and is being redirected. If you wish to re-establish the article, be sure the article asserts that it meets one of the criteria spelled out there and cites substantial coverage in independent reliable sources. Thanks. - SummerPhD (talk) 20:40, 25 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

October 2011 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edits you made to Planet Earth (album), did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.   Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Prince (musician) with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you.   — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 03:49, 3 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Planet Earth (album). Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in you being blocked from editing. Dan56 (talk) 04:17, 3 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Planet Earth (album), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Dan56 (talk) 02:20, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for Repeated Vandalism. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

I was trying to fix, organize and add more information to the articles I edtited. Then another user comes along and claims what I was doing was vandalism. I believe what I did was not vandalism. Please review my edits and point out what you believe was vandalism so I may not make the same mistake again. Plus, I believe being blocked indefinitely is too high of a punishment for what I did. KopJ (talk) 11:22 pm, 3 October 2011, last Monday (1 day ago) (UTC−4)

Decline reason:

You received several messages on this page asking that you stop. Why did you continue to make those edits when you were asked not to? TNXMan 13:43, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I believe that my block is unfair because you blocked indefinitely and this is my first block. What I did was consider vandalism by others and I have reviewed my actions and will make better edits. KopJ (talk) 22:32, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. GB fan 17:51, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Changing numerical data with no verifiable and reliable source will often get reverted - it's a classic vandal attack. So changing 25 to 32 in Planet Earth (album) was reverted several times. You should have stopped after one revert (and warning) and discussed on the article's talk page. You also removed data (including a footnote) from Prince (musician) without giving a reason, also not good - any data removed should have a good edit summary to explain why it's being removed.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:17, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
Well now I know. Next time I'll be more specific for my edits. I even tried to talk about my edits with User:Dan56 (the one who I was having the edit conflict with) but he ignored me. KopJ (talk) 22:22, 4 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
I dunno about that ... I just went to Dan56's talkpage, and someone asked you a point blank question to which you did not reply. (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 10:40, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
I was blocked before I could reply. KopJ (talk) 22:19, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
...and you realize that an identical unblock request is going to be automatically declined. You need to address the reasons for the original decline of your unblock. Come on, did you even try to read WP:GAB????? (talk→ BWilkins ←track) 22:40, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
I changed it. KopJ (talk) 23:41, 5 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
