There are numerous South African sources from across the political spectrum, including e.g. Cosatu, that speak of racism. But that does not fit in your prejudices and therefore it needs to be censored or so? Jcwf (talk) 13:29, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your answer. I'm not sure I find your argument of violence convincing. There were many years under the apartheid regime without violence and that did not stop people outside SA to call its racism racism (and rightly so). Does it really have to come to violence before we can call it racism now? If so aren't we co-responsible for the violence that will inevitably follow? Perhaps this cartoon will serve as a warning.

Thanks so much for making the start of a new article so much better. Really appreciate it and am learning from your work, Ethanz (talk) 16:05, 17 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your kind words. It really was my pleasure! Felt good to finally be editing again. I see you have a CC-licensed blog. If you have any photos of the guys involved with Y'en a Marre, I suggest you upload them via Wikimedia. Illustrations will certainly bump your article up a notch or two. --KongOlavKonfekt (talk) 09:34, 22 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
