Help me! edit

Please help me with... Is it permissible/possible to communicate with an editor here? I have a personal interest related to the topic of a particular page: James Frederick Ferrier edited by GregK123 at 15:03, 12 December 2016 It is very difficult to find anyone who is or has been interested in James Frederick Ferrier. I do not know if that describes GregK123. I am a Wikipedia novice... subnovice... Is it permissible/possible to request communication from GregK123 here regarding Ferrier?

Communication with another user edit

Hi Klarm7680, it is indeed possible to communicate with another user! You can do that by visiting their talk page, clicking "New section" on the top, typing your message, and clicking "save changes". It's that simple. Let me know if you have any other questions! RoCo(talk) 16:31, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

James Frederick Ferrier edit

Hi Klarm7680,

Thanks for the message. Unfortunately, my edit of James Frederick Ferrier consisted only of changing a category from "people from Edinburgh" to "writers from Edinburgh".

Good luck with your search,

GK

James Frederick Ferrier edit

Once again, hello Klarm7680. You may be able to find someone willing to contribute to this article if you ask in the associated WikiProjects. I would suggest asking for help in WikiProject Philosophy. RoCo(talk) 17:21, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dear RoCo.

I went to WikiProject Philosophy. I think I may have signed up there. I think I may have created a user page. I'm stumbling around with little feedback as to whether what I've tried to do is what I in fact have done. All I want to find is somebody who's heard of James Frederick Ferrier and would care to direct me further or hear what I've found and catch up to me. I also want to not create too much collateral damage before I catch on here.Klarm7680 (talk) 18:26, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Klarm7680: You have joined the WikiProject. I would suggest starting a new topic (by clicking "new section", as told previously) here on the project's talk page and mention that you are looking for someone who knows about that person. Also, you may wish to check out The Wikipedia Adventure to learn about the basics on Wikipedia. Feel free to ask any further questions! RoCo(talk) 18:37, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
