Although some prefer welcoming new users with cookies, I find fruit to be a healthier alternative.

Hello, Kirkgaard, and welcome to Wikipedia! I am Sam Sailor and I would like to thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
    Introduction to Wikipedia
    The five pillars of Wikipedia
    Editing tutorial
    How to edit a page
    Simplified Manual of Style
    The basics of Wikicode
    How to develop an article
    How to create an article
    Help pages
    What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Do's and Don'ts:
    Do be bold
    Do assume good faith
    Do be civil
    Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
    Don't spam
    Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
    Don't vandalize
    Don't get blocked

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the   button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun! To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

    Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
    Help contribute to articles
    Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
    Help design new templates

If you need further help, you can:

    Ask a question

or even:

Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, place {{helpme}} on your talk page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome,  and happy editing!

IC Møllerparken edit

Og velkommen! :) The official spelling is I.C. Møllerparken. Both the punctuation and spacing is standard use for Danish place names, cf. H.C. Ørstedsparken. Before moving it to I.C. Møllerparken I thought I'd hear if you had any objections? Best, Sam Sailor Sing 14:54, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Sam, for the fruit as well as the corrections ;). Actually, my conclusion after looking into the municipal documentation was the opposite. Esbjerg Kommune refer to the park as IC Møllerparken in their most official writings (including the signs present in the park area). But, as the rest of the world, in some of their more public writings they also use the grammatically correct I. C. or I.C. just as much. I haven't been able to find the official notes on the name decision in the city counsil, but I'll write someone in there and get a confirmation, seems they need it themselves too ;). Until then, let's just keep it at I.C., which suits my speling-gene best too. God dag. Kirkgaard (talk) 10:43, 9 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
The naming convention is set out in Vejledning i retskrivning af vejnavne and Esbjerg Municipality follows it cf. "I.C. Møllerparken klar til indvielse". Esbjergkommune.dk. 2013-06-19. I'm not surprised that it sometimes get spelled "IC Møllerparken" or "I. C. Møllerparken", as we can see in this search result, but that does not make it correct, and I don't believe we have a case for WP:UCN discussion here. Proposed deletion of Tabula (software) edit

Hello, Kirkgaard. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Tabula (software), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Please read this notification carefully, it contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

A community decision has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The details of these sanctions are described here. All pages that are broadly related to these topics are subject to a one revert per twenty-four hours restriction, as described here.

General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

IBM MQ edit edit

Hi, I reverted your edit to IBM MQ which added a new paragraph to the opening section. It said that it was open sourced and became MQTT. But according to the MQTT article, it's actually a separate product that was only called "MQ" for branding (it doesn't even use queues!). It's still relevant to the IBM MQ article but misleading to say that it was open sourced when really just this different thing with a similar name was (unless IBM MQ was as well?) 80.4.108.48 (talk) 17:32, 5 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
