Filter 174

edit

In April I submitted a report to Wikipedia:Edit filter/False positives that caused you to change an edit filter. However, you might want to look at your change since I made that report through the sockpuppet account User:Computer165public (I also lied about it being a public computer account). I emailed you about this but it’s probably better to leave a message. Huaqin (talk) 22:02, 1 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

My change made good sense generally speaking, so I don't see why that should matter. -- King of ♥ 23:46, 1 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:14, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your closure of AfD for App Academy

edit

You recently closed the AfD for App Academy stating "No agreement on whether the sources satisfy WP:CORP". This isn't accurate or true. None of the Keep !voters argued on the basis of the sources meeting NCORP and most ignored NCORP. Chess mentioned GNG which is not the appropriate SNG. Toughpigs acknowledges NCORP but disagrees on the definition and important of those guidelines. Cunard consistently refused to engage at AfD and does not respond to anyone pointing out NCORP guidelines. Can you please review your close and examine the arguments put forward again. HighKing++ 12:28, 26 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

People are allowed to disagree about the meaning of guidelines. You cannot treat your own view as the only correct one. -- King of ♥ 22:32, 29 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
