Filmography edit

Hello, KingDracula, about the filmography: he also did somee porn movies with his sister. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.94.95.106 (talk) 01:26, 22 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

  1. None of the actor and actress pags that achieved featured status on Wikipedia has co-stars and directors in their filmography (see Katie Holmes or Lindsay Lohan). Since not every article is as comprehensive or "excellent" as featured articles, generally those whould serve as role models.
  2. An article is there to tell something about the subject. The subject of Surya's article is Surya. Information about co-stars and directors is information on movies (and it crowds the filmography) and therefore belongs into the movie articles.
  3. In the past, people have used co-stars and directors to show off "their" actor: Actor XYZ has played alongside actress XXX more times than actor ABC so therefore actor XYZ must be "better" than actor ABC - to prevent edit wars, generally those kind of ino goes right into the movie article.
  4. You are not alone. If you start to work on articles in the Indian Cinema project, why don't you have a look how the majority of the articles look like (e.g. the larger ones like Shahrukh Khan or Aishwarya Rai).
  5. User:Kadavul got banned for the same thing you are currently trying to do - it was considered vandalism and he got banned by an administrator. See here: [1] If you don't want that to happen to you, I suggest you stop.

Oh, and the pictures you upoloaded are both lacking a source: [[2]] and [[3]]

Surya edit

Hello, Dracula.

Aside from my concerns about the filmography (see above), here are the others:

Saravanan Sivakumar popularly know as Surya (born in 23 July 1975), is an Indian actor in the Tamil film industry. He is known as Surya popularly and has rose to fame with this name. He is the son of Tamil actor Sivakumar. He is well-known for trying out off-beat roles in different films. Suriya is also the brand ambassador for large brands like Pepsi, TVS and Sunfeast Biscuits.

Surya mentioned twice, therefore should the second mention be cropped. Needless to say he rose to fame with this name, as he is "popularly known as Surya" --> cropped. Info about his family comes later -> double mention. Brand ambassdor mention, yes, (in his career), brands themselves: no, as WP does not advertise brands.

Do you wish to discuss the rest of the article as well, to prevent an edit war?

Best regards, --Plumcouch Talk2Me 11:52, 2 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Mango Racing edit

As you are the creator of this article, I would like to draw your attention to the need to assess its notability. If it is to avoid entering a deletion proposal, it needs significant improvement. At this time, it is not really even a stub, as it has virtually no context or facts. Please go to the article's talk page if you wish to comment. If you are unable to expand the article, but believe that it meets notability requirements, feel free to request help from other editors by leaving a message on the WP:Motorsport talk page. Adrian M. Ajith Kumar edit

Hello, Dracula, welcome back. The current version of the article was created by User:Zora. I'm currently trying to find trustable sources to remove all the "[citation needed]" before other stuff can be added again. Problem with the old version was, that there were no sources cited for anything: salary, box office, success of movies, marriage, family, openings etc. I think it's important to re-build the article by adding sources and not merely stating facts without noting where they come from. Best regards, --Plumcouch Talk2Me 19:14, 5 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ajith Kumar edit

Hello, Dracula, I think you're absolutely right: we all should really talk about everything, before things get uneasy. Generally, I think Anwar's edits are a bit over the top, too, but I also think he provided lots of useful information also - however, there were no sources given. Generally, I think everything that is informative should be added to the article, given it is a) written in a neutral way. b) referenced. (Especially box office, salaries and noteworthy roles) c) mentionable. (I'm not sure, if it's noteworthy that he married a "Christian girl" -> she was grown up, so no "girl" anymore, and her religion belongs into *her* article.) Also, I think his filmography should look like Diane Keaton's, for example, since her article got featured - I mean, there's so much info on Kumar on the net; the article has definetely the potential to get feautured, or at least "Good", but we should play by the rules of previously featured article. What do you think? Best regards, --Plumcouch Talk2Me 00:42, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Billa (2007 film) edit

Although the article is well-written and includes much information, it should remain at the Future class until it is released. Once it is released, and it keeps this same amount of information and then also box office and critic reception, this article could reach B class. Good job so far. Once it's released, look over the GA criteria and attempt to nominate it for a Good article. --Nehrams2020 05:15, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Vaanmathi edit

An editor has nominated Vaanmathi, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vaanmathi and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:59, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Aacharya edit

The article Aacharya has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability, no reliable sources. Nothing found via Google News or Google Web beyond a single review that was rather short on facts.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
