Reflist and defaultsort

edit

Hi. When creating new articles, please note that you have to include a citation template in the "References" section (the section shouldn't be left blank). The simplest way to do that is with the reflist template. Where appropriate in biographies, the defaultsort template should also be included to ensure the articles are sorted by the subject's last name in the relevant categories. See this edit as an example, if you're not sure how to use these template. Bennv123 (talk) 15:32, 7 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Bennv123, thank you for this correction. I will practice and start using them henceforth. Kaspadoo (talk) 11:34, 7 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Francis Rohero

edit

The article Francis Rohero has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

candidates who do not win are not considered notable

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. John Katumba

edit

Hi, I've just marked a article you recently created, John Katumba, as an WP:ORPHAN, because no other articles currently link to it, making it difficult for readers to find it. You can fix this issue by introducing links to this article, where appropriate (I'd suggest checking the articles on elections he ran in). -- Asartea Talk | Contribs 10:51, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Barnabas Tinkasimire

edit

Hello, Kaspadoo,

Thank you for creating Barnabas Tinkasimire.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

As the editor above mentioned, this article is also an orphan and needs to be linked to, again the elections he contested would probably be where to link from

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Joseywales1961}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Thanks for creating but be sure when writing articles that you read the sources and interpret them as much as possible in your own words to avoid the copyvio pitfall. Once again, thanks for creating.

Autopatrolled granted

edit

Hi Kaspadoo, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 12:16, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message

edit
Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:04, 23 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
