I agree. Cheers, VMORO VMORO

Are you asking about Bulgarian authors or about foreign ones? 'Cause if it is foreign ones, I can give you a couple of titles, as regards the Bulgarian ones, I use only Bulgarian originals and I don't know if they are translated into any of the languages you mentioned... VMORO

Macedonia edit

You might want to review the recent history of the article, especially this edit [1] (diff with last version) that includes Rebroad's contributions which were whitewashed by VMORO's revert. Etz Haim 11:37, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)

More like to History of the Republic of Macedonia, where it would be much more relevant. Etz Haim 12:55, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Note to both you and Project2501a: On the debate on Talk:Macedonian Slavs, Greece's mode of administration (democratic, tolerant or the exact opposite) is not the matter in question. This whole issue has started because we want to check if INTERREG's 100,000 is correctly attributed to the EU, as ChrisO suggests. Your statement's on the Greek state's credibility etc. are both in the realm of political opinion, and are out of the interests of this discussion. Please try to focus on the substance of this. Etz Haim 19:03, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

A tip: The word "minority" does not have any negative connotation as it appears to have in Greek, so technically the Macedonian Slavs are a minority. Some minorities, such as the Vlachs, would object being called a minority because they are very well integrated into the Greek mainstream (see Averoff, Koletis etc.).

Another tip: By definition, whoever lives in Occitania, that is, the southern part of France, is Occitan (as we both are Thessalonikans, thus Macedonian). Some of 13,000,000 or more of the Occitan MAJORITY speak "Occitan" that's not a language but rather a pool of partially interintelligible languages. However, all of these people consider themselves French, and the Occitan separatist party (PO) gets the most pathetic results you 'd expect. The claims by the PO that it represents the Occitan "minority"/MAJORITY are utterly ridiculus. Etz Haim 19:19, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Greece as a democracy edit

For the record, i think Greece *is* a democratic country, by definition. well, representative democracy, aka, republicanism. What I don't agree on, is the way the mode of operation of the greek goverment ever since the liberation of 1821. The greek goverment and mass media have been constatly trying to indoctrinate and manipulate the public opinion (and they've been very successful at it). that's what concerns me.

Filika,

Project2501a 23:40, 5 Jan 2005 (UTC)

"...because you are seen as a ludicrous person."

This could easily be misunderstood. To be honest, I had a laugh or two at Kirev's expense, but I wouldn't put it that way. If you agree, I suggest that you should remove that and all the "hahaha" and try to rephrase eg. "your ludicrous comments" instead of "person". Etz Haim 13:47, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Also note that I'm forced by the circumstances to be absent for a little while, so I won't be able to take part in this debate. Etz Haim 13:56, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hi Kapnisma. For a book, please check the References at the end of the article. I would first recommend the book by Mc Evilley (the section on the Indo-Greeks "Diffusion Channels in the Hellenistic and Roman periods" is great, and it is a very recent work). Second, an amazing book on the diffusion of Greek art to India "The Diffusion of Classic Art" by John Boardman, connecting the Indo-Greeks and Greco-Buddhist art. Third, Tarn, which is an older book, but brings a lot of vivid detail on the period. Regards. PHG 21:39, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Orthodox inquisition edit

 1. "How would you write Iouvenalis in English? Juvenalis, maybe?" Juvenalis, maybe!
 2. "How would you translate neoplatonikos?, philosofos ennoeitai" Neoplatonic.
 3. "Also, in which category should I place him?" Is he considered a philosopher?

There many cases of an Orthodox inquisition. AFAIK the κηνσήτορες (derivative word in English: censor) were such a case. Etz Haim 14:08, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Refugees from Strentza out of fear of the comitadjis.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Refugees from Strentza.jpg . I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Macedonian Slav Poll edit

There is a poll in the talk page of the Macedonian Slavs article here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Macedonian_Slavs#The_poll

Some people are lobbying for changing the article's name to "Macedonian" without any qualifier. As it seems, a number of these people come from the Macedonian/Macedonian Slav wikipedia project. It seemed only fair to attract the attention of people possibly from the other side of the story .I hope that this message is of interest to you, if not please accept my apologies.

Poll edit

I'll try to provide some Bulgarian votes for the poll because the no side seems to be waning dangerously... VMORO 23:02, Jun 21, 2005 (UTC)

Wikipedians in Greece edit

Hi, I understand that you are either Greek Wikipedian or a Wikipedian living in/with an interest in Greece.

The category page Wikipedians/Greece has been replaced with Category:Wikipedians in Greece but your name still appears on the old list. You might considering moving it. You might also consider adding adding Template:Greekwiki to your user page.

A Wikipedia:Greek Wikipedians' notice board has been in existence for some time but is terribly underutilised. It would certainly benefit from your involvement.--Damac 12:20, 23 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:A.Papadopoulos.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:A.Papadopoulos.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

link to defender edit

Hello. Thank you for your recent edits regarding football players. Your edit included one or more links to the page defender, which is a disambiguation page. This type of page is intended to direct users to more specific topics. Ordinarily we try to avoid creating links to disambiguation pages, since it is preferable to link directly to the specific topic relevant to the context. You can help Wikipedia by revising the links you added to defender to refer directly to the most relevant topic, such as defender (football) by writing out defender. Regards, -- Jeff3000 00:40, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

As a typing tip, you might also consider using the Help:Pipe trick. That is, type only defender (football) which will automatically produce the correct defender when you press save. :-) NikoSilver 12:49, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ελληνικά επίθετα και ...βλάκες edit
