Replaceable fair use File:France_stays_top.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:France_stays_top.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 00:43, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for File:Doha2010_Logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Doha2010_Logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 08:38, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Re: EHF Euro
Oh, no, I think you misunderstood me. I just added a fair-use rationale to the image's description page, which is required by Wikipedia's non-free content policy. I have re-added the image to the article. Regards, Theleftorium (talk) 08:27, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
I saw you changed my edit on Template:2010 FIFA World Cup Group C, but it is somewhat inaccurate since England and the United States are currently tied for the second spot.
I was curious as to your reasoning for your edit since it had no edit summary. Doc Quintana (talk) 16:51, 13 June 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for that, and I apologize for not being clearer with my edit summary initially. It can be confusing for sure. Doc Quintana (talk) 16:56, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

Volleyball
I have seen some editions you have done to volleyball articles. Some players articles, most of them looks outdated. I would like to improve players by country. Could you please choose a country to contribute with? Please take a look on Yekaterina Gamova, Hélia Souza, Serena Ortolani and Kenia Carcaces for a model to follow. Please can you please improve some volley players with infobox and some addons? Let me know.

FIFA World Cup MOMs
When I checked, they did not mention the MOM and so I thought that it was added by some fans who just put the man regarded as the best player of the team, and not the best player of the match. And certainly, I watched the entire 90 minutes of Protugal-Brazil and didn't think Ronaldo could have been MOM! M-R-Schumacher (talk) 16:09, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- Checked on fifa.com, and it does say Ronaldo/Drogba. But I guess I will still keep an eye on it, for it may change later (more time after the match) like in two other games. And as for the Portugal-Brazil, I don't think anyone can be MOM! :P M-R-Schumacher (talk) 16:23, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
- Ha ha, wonder who to vote? Maybe the linesman for he didn't make any mistakes? :) M-R-Schumacher (talk) 16:30, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Re: NASCAR points
Just go with the unofficial points in future; the series uses that for a couple of days before the results are finalised in the midweek. Engine checks and such have to be carried out before a result becomes official. I wasn't having a go, just merely pointing out! Kind regards, Cs-wolves(talk) 00:14, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

Medal table edit on 2010 world junior championships
I think you made some mistake. I don't see ROU on there at all (they just won a gold medal, you updated it) and Russia is on there twice? I think you meant ROU for Russia. I think.Philipmj24 (talk) 23:57, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
One more thing, the total number of medals equal out to 66 not 56. Maybe you should just check it one more time just incase you made some errors. I will check it also.Philipmj24 (talk) 01:49, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
The United States should be 16 not 17. New Zealand should be above Norway. Some of the things I caught.Philipmj24 (talk) 01:53, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Sweet, thanks bro. Looks good now. From what I'm seeing, IAAF isn't updating their medal chart and I don't think there is another reliable source to check our work against. But we can make due.Philipmj24 (talk) 02:01, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
And thanks for your hard work! I really appreciate it!Philipmj24 (talk) 02:02, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Hey man, I really appreciate what you are doing and I thank you. But please check your work before saving it. You are doing a great job with the medal table but your just letting little things get past you. For example, after the men's high jump and women's 200 metres, you added the respected medals to the countries total. But you forgot to add it up. Anyways, it just small errors but make sure you keep an eye out for it.Philipmj24 (talk) 00:46, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Medal Tables
Hi Kante4! Just a suggestion about changes to medal tables - while using "rowspan" for joint positions looks better, the limits of the wiki code means that it completely messes up the sorting mechanism (just have a look what happens on the medal table here!). Although not the prettiest method, I believe that having the chance to alter the table to see who got what is a highly desired option (greater total vs greater golds in particular). Therefore, I'd suggest not using "rowspan" on medal tables in future to allow for this. Cheers! Sillyfolkboy (talk) (edits)Join WikiProject Athletics! 02:52, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Swimming at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics – Boys' 200 metre butterfly
A tag has been placed on Swimming at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics – Boys' 200 metre butterfly requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Canoeing at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics – Girls' K1 slalom has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Wikipedia is not news, a collection of trivia, or a repository for sports results
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Korruski (talk) 12:41, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
