Hello, Kamaridb17, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Cedar Point does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 17:51, 5 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • You made only one edit for the "Add to an article" assignment, so you cannot get more than partial credit. We had a whole week for this assignment, and you just wrote one single sentence. And that edit actually needs some fixing: the reference is to some website, which may not be a reliable source (see WP:RS). Dr Aaij (talk) 02:06, 21 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

History of Black Rodeo

Draft Wait--seriously, you call that a draft? One single grammatically incorrect sentence, with no sourcing? Dr Aaij (talk) 22:05, 29 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm BlackcurrantTea. I moved the page you created on the history of black rodeo back to your user space because it's not ready for 'main space' (the part of Wikipedia where most of the content is, where people go after looking something up on Google, for example). Before it belongs there, it needs more information, both in text and in references to reliable sources.

I know this place can be a bit overwhelming - there's so much to learn, and a lot of details to pay attention to. But Wikipedia needs more articles on the culture of people of colour, including black rodeo. I hope that you'll be able to turn this into an article, even if it's a short one. My schedule's unpredictable, and I don't know if I'll be around when you have questions, so if you need help, I recommend asking at the Teahouse (they're really nice) or adding {{Help me}} to this page with your question. The folks at Wikipedia:WikiProject African diaspora can be a good resource, too. I wish you the best of luck with your article! BlackcurrantTea (talk) 01:31, 29 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
