Since it’s such an old case, it’s been cited frequently by other cases and by secondary sources. It may be helpful to describe the general implications of the case; for example, what it is most cited for. It would be a great service to provide suggestions for some further reading on that topic. Hi KKim2019! Looks like you're making some good progress. I noticed that you wrote down that this case is mostly only of historical importance. I think it would be helpful to explain why it is historically important and why readers should care about this case. Because we need to remain neutral perhaps it would be helpful to include perspectives from people who think this case is important and from people who don't think it is important.

I don't know anything about tax law, so I am curious to learn about why it is significant that all married couples be allowed to file joint returns vs being able to divide the income with the spouse in a community property state.

Perhaps including some background info on tax law would be helpful for readers like me who don't really know much.
