The website link is perfectly acceptable - please see this entry. I was also wondering if you could explain the apparent similarity of your edits with those previously made by this account: [1]. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:31, 5 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Rudyard Kipling. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you are given a good deal of freedom in what you write. Undoing edits

edit

If you go to the page history, there is an undo button on each edit line. If you click on one other then the top, they often do not work. It will let you know. The other useful method is to select the the radio buttons, select the left button previous to the one you want to revert and the right radio for the last you want to revert. Click the "Compare selected versions". Verify that is what you want to undo and click undo. You will be then shown a difference with the usual editing features. Give a descriptive reason why and click "Show preview" if you want to double check that you did not break something (I usually do this for complex undos) then click "Save page". I often use an "undo own edit" which tells people it was a change of mind on your part. I'll often add "oops" if it was a dumb mistake. :) Jim1138 (talk) 23:30, 5 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Policy information

edit

It seems to be rather hard to find stuff on policy. A good place to start is Help:Contents/Directory and Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines. You can also do a search from Help:Contents/Browse. For information on formatting pages: Wikipedia:Manual of Style. Happy editing! Jim1138 (talk) 23:30, 5 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

With a section header such as ==Test header==, the first "=" should be on the far left column. Otherwise it does not format correctly; just as the "Test header" above still shows the equal signs. See MOS:HEADINGS Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 00:19, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
