Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Juneseechong. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page GDC Technology Limited, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 01:51, 21 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

GDC Technology Limited moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, GDC Technology Limited, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. 1292simon (talk) 00:50, 27 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Simon It is perplexing that you moved GDC Technology to Wiki Draftspace. If sources like Bloomberg, Reuters, Carlyle Group, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter are not good enough to support this short article, I wonder what is. Justanotherwikipediauser (talk) 19:45, 27 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of GDC Technology Limited edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on GDC Technology Limited, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. 1292simon (talk) 10:07, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Before I respond to your question, could you please answer a couple of questions:
  1. Why did you move the article out of draft space into article space without waiting for a review to be completed?
  2. What is the connection between yourself, the editor called User:Anotherwikiuser100, the editor called User:Justanothersgwikieditor, and the editor called User:Okeydonkeee? Deb (talk) 17:27, 28 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Deb: Hi there, please note I placed a COI notice on User talk:Justanotherwikipediauser (see here) when Justanotherwikipediauser was Juneseechong. As GDC Technology Limited is deleted, it will be great if you can let me know what I edited there (if any) so I can explain my edits. Do go through the links on my page as I am using them to detect Singapore-related pages (new articles alert, project ratings, and changes) as this is how I came to find the article, GDC Technology Limited. Promotional editing by Juneseechong (Justanotherwikipediauser) reverted by me after I placed COI tag here. Otherwise, I declare there is zero connection between me and the other 3 editors namely Justanotherwikipediauser (Juneseechong), Anotherwikiuser100 and Okeydonkeee (cant say whether the other 3 are connected with each other though). Feel free to raise a SPI if there is suspicion of sockpuppeting. Thanks! --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 01:25, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Deb I am grateful to your reply as this was my first posting on Wiki. I am not paid to write the article and I am not related to any of the users raised in your question. I have no idea who they are. I was rather upset when I saw the comment made by 1292simon editor because I had spent a lot of time looking up credible sources for my references in the page and I did explain this on my Talk page why I reverted the page from draftspace back into article space. I also thought that by moving my article back to the main space, more experienced and neutral editors like yourself would comment and look into my disagreement with 1292simon's decision. By hiding my article in the draftspace, I would not be able to attract other editors to join in the discussion and provide advice. Justanotherwikipediauser (talk) 17:33, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Justanotherwikipediauser: Hi there, with regards to the COI notice further up this page, can you reply whether do you have any COI with regards to either GDC or the founder? Thanks --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 01:45, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation edit

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Juneseechong, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. Deb (talk) 17:44, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Deb, have you completed your investigation yet? It has been quite a while since you said that all the blocked users belong to the same user account. Like to learn how you arrived at this conclusion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.239.215.196 (talk) 07:18, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for sockpuppetry edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Justanotherwikipediauser. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  GeneralNotability (talk) 12:55, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

This is an obvious abuse of power where there is no evidence showing all the mentioned wiki editors are sharing the same account. Should US legal practice is allowed here, I suggest to use e-discovery legal process to prove that some wiki editors are abusing their power and they do not have any proof to show that the aforesaid users belong to the same user account. This point can never be proven in any method including legit e-discovery because it is simply untrue. Wikipedia council should really look into revamping Wikipedia practice to reveal the true identity of each and every editor so that they don't hide behind their fake name to abuse other editors. If they are so sure of what they are doing, they should reveal their legit email address at the very least. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.239.215.196 (talk) 07:02, 22 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
