Commercial use of Image:HataLocation.svg.png edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:HataLocation.svg.png, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:HataLocation.svg.png has a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission, which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3). While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:HataLocation.svg.png itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 07:16, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

All you have to do is add {{GFDL-self}} if you created it or {{GFDL}} if ot was someone else. Thanks, GDonato (talk) 12:28, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
If you don't it will be deleted again. GDonato (talk) 12:38, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Got it. Thanks for the prompt response!--Jusenkyoguide 12:44, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:HataTownSymbol.gif edit

Thanks for uploading Image:HataTownSymbol.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 21:36, 6 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

3rR warning edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on An Jung-geun‎. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. --Kusunose (talk) 02:31, 17 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

How could I confirm whether is is really sourced? edit

You missed to include relevant "pages". Since two Korea states use different Romanization, I could not find needed info. That is your duty to fulfill the necessary information. --Caspian blue (talk) 14:16, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Comfort Women edit

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Comfort_women

Why you erase my wrote? Already I did write in "talk". You need to read it. And you need to write down the reason you have turn it off.

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Wingwrong (talkcontribs) 02:09, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Because no, it is not the official blog of that newspaper. It is a reporter's personal blog and as such doesn't fall under WP:RS.--Jusenkyoguide (talk) 09:31, 28 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
No, that blog is "Official" blog of the Sankei-Shinbun(Sankei-Newspaper). To that evidence, Sankei-Shimbun published the book that collected of articles of this blog(ISBN-13: 978-4902970982). "Identifying reliable sources" has no mean that of "Whether you can believe". Thou is not neutral.(WP:POV)Wingwrong (talk) 06:42, 29 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
The blog is an official newspaper blog although its web site is not Sankei web site (http://sankei.jp.msn.com). The site Iza! (http://www.iza.ne.jp/) is a portal site with a focus on news of the Sankei group (イザ!は、産経新聞グループのニュースを中心とするポータルサイトです。[3]) and operated by Sankei Digital Inc.[4] There are four blog categories: Correspondent blog, Professional blog, Official blog and User blog. Correspondent blog is written by the correspondents of the Sankei Shimbun Group.(記者ブログとは産経新聞グループの現役記者が執筆しているブログのことです。[5]) I think it is a reliable source per WP:NEWSBLOG and WP:BLOGS regardless whether it is neutral or not.(New York Times is often accused of bias.) ―― Phoenix7777 (talk) 10:18, 9 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Except if you look at WP:NEWSBLOG it talks about being careful of blogs as even "official" blogs are opinion sites. Given the topic at hand I do not see where a personal blog, even written by a reporter, has any credibility. Find us an actual newspaper article, one that we can accept as being factchecked, or better yet, a scholarly article to use as a source. --Jusenkyoguide (talk) 20:12, 9 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Rokyroad edit

Hello, I am here regarding the article, "An Jung Geun." As a fellow American, I am puzzled on all of this 2ch flame war stuff, sock puppets, and all that stuff. It is getting a little scary as I can feel their presence over the web in even sites like Khan Academy. Can you tell me how to cite this? I was wondering as the program that I was telling is considered one of the most credible and neutral sources in Korea, considering that it comes from a major news source like the NHK. I am not really that biased since I live in the states... If you are Japanese, then please let me know that I am wrong and all that. I would like to have a conversation to improve this article for the better, as now more and more Japanese experts are voicing their opinions on this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rokyroad (talkcontribs) 20:59, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Jennifer Government: NationStates & the "Possible Abuse" section edit

Hello. I wish to see if we can reach some common ground regarding Jennifer_Government:_NationStates, particularly the deleted "Possible Abuse" section. I would not like to see the article deleted, but I wish to see at least some version -- similar to your edit -- of the Possible Abuse section be included. Technically, it seems the "Possible Abuse" section meets WP:VERIFY/WP:RS and the rest of the article really does not. But WP:COMMONSENSE and WP:CONTEXTMATTERS indicates that rules of NS, events on NS, announcements by the site owner, etc., are best sourced from NS itself. WP:3PARTY will almost never exist, but I am searching for them as to the whole article. I wish to save the page, but I would hope for compromise. Thank you for your courtesy, concern, and (hopefully) consideration/cooperation. --Po-tee-weet (talk) 01:39, 9 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

The article itself does need sources for the rest of the sections, but I am content to let non-involved editors take a whack at it first simply to avoid edit warring and to allow some much needed cleanup. As much as I have time for, I plan to continue to search for third party sources that can help out and leave the heavy lifting to non-involved editors. --Jusenkyoguide (talk) 00:03, 10 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
I am glad the article was able to be cleaned-up and kept. Obviously, we disagree about the possible abuse kerfuffle, but I am glad we have moved past that. Not having a lot of luck finding relevant, credible third-party sources, but I am looking. Po-tee-weet (talk) 00:12, 20 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Comfort women, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 01:44, 25 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Re edit

As you said what she said is on an assumption. So this is not a total concur. Simply use "wrote" is more impartial writing. 钉钉 (talk) 04:23, 12 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

It is very obvious that English is not your first language. I'm sorry, but that's not how the language works. Saying if this premise is true, then the conclusion is also true (if A, then B), does not mean a conditional agreement. A conditional agreement is "I agree with you, provided you do X, Y, and/or Z". That's not what the quote says at all. Instead she's saying that yes, if we use today's definition of terrorism, then the actions fit that. Jusenkyoguide (talk) 01:04, 13 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Obviously you are not a native speaker. The right world is Far East not Orient. Yun Bong-gil didn't attack any Japanese. He only targeted top officials. Japan invaded Korea and China during WWII. That is a basic history fact. You need to contribute constructively and stop your vandalism. 钉钉 (talk) 05:47, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I'm an American. The correct word NOW is Far East. At the time, the term was Oriental, if you knew anything about linguistic history beyond your own narrow POV, you may know that. You need to take this to the talk pages before attempting further edits.Jusenkyoguide (talk) 10:24, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

I don't care whether you are Japanese American or American Japanese. But the readers are all modern people. I replied your discussion leads in talk pages. You need to reply and make consensus. 钉钉 (talk) 14:49, 14 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:HataLocation.svg.png edit

The file File:HataLocation.svg.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 8 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
