December 2014 edit

here   Hello, I'm Konveyor Belt. I noticed that you recently removed some content from List of awards and nominations received by Christina Aguilera without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:43, 13 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

December 2014 edit

Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Ariana Grande does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Chamith (talk) 02:59, 13 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Ariana Grande ‎. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block.

A section should not be empty with just a link to another article. Please discuss the situation at the talk page if you think something else should be done (or be bold and propose an awards section—but if it's removed, discuss why there should be one on the talk page).C.Fred (talk) 19:09, 13 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at List of Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles of 2014. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. Thank you. MPFitz1968 (talk) 00:48, 14 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi Joyunity, please understand we may need to discuss certain edits first before making them if there may be a disagreement. You may do so here: Talk:Ariana Grande. Thanks, Tony Tan98 · talk 02:50, 14 December 2014 (UTC) Talk:Iggy AzaleaReply

Disambiguation link notification for December 20 edit

Talk: Meghan Trainor — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joyunity (talkcontribs)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hozier (musician), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Song of the Year. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Removal of warnings edit

I noticed that you've cleared your talk page to elude the warning messages. While you have the right to remove your talk page messages they are still archived in your talk page history, so anyone can check warning even though you've removed them. Removal of warnings by the talk page owner is considered as a confirmation that he/she read warnings.--Chamith (talk) 06:33, 23 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
