Halle attack edit

The attack is continuing, cause the German police has not arrested all shooters jet. I guess it will be more important, than a small chapter in the articel about Halle. Could you create a nwe articel? I will support this with informations from the German media. Thanks! --14:20, 9 October 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.150.102.215 (talk)

I have rarely created articles, but more details will become clear over the next few days, and I expect someone will. If you expand the section on the Halle page, it will be easy to transfer that to an article if one is created. Remember that references/ sources should be quoted. Thanks, so I will do. And enrich the articel with sources. --87.150.102.215 (talk) 14:47, 9 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

World Union of Jewish Students edit

This is a really worthwhile organisation, bit sadly it's also very promotional with some copyvio.[1]

The mission statement obviously doesn't belong and is copyvio. [2]. Do you have time to sort some of it out? Doug Weller talk 19:23, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I've done some work on this Union of Jewish Students in the past and will do a bit more, some on this one, including the mission statement. Thanks for the prompt. Jontel (talk) 19:25, 11 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

October 2019 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Baron Grantchester, appears to have been inappropriate, and has been reverted. Thank you. That category may be appropriate for the article on John Suenson-Taylor, 3rd Baron Grantchester, rather than where it was placed. David Biddulph (talk) 10:13, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Jon Lansman edit reverted edit

As the added link in Jon Lansman was adding a judgement of value on the person without being backed by the reference quoted in that paragraph, I took it as plain vandalism. I should have instead maked it as missing source Citillara (talk) 08:29, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yes. Also, I did not add the text, just the link. Jontel (talk) 08:44, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Suggestion for new article edit

You've added Category: Disabilities (Jewish) to several articles. Could you write a main article defining it? I would appreciate it. Editor2020 (talk) 01:03, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Makes sense. In fact, there is one, already, Disabilities (Jewish), which is where I got the name. I don't particularly like the name; it brings together all the legal restrictions on Jews, as opposed to canards and phyical force. I should, of course, have added it to the category I created and now have. Sorry, and thanks for raising it. Jontel (talk) 04:49, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Just found it. I can't believe I couldn't find it before. Thanks! Editor2020 (talk) 00:00, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Corbyn edit

Thanks for adding a source to the Corbyn article [3]. Unfortunately, that source is for his 2016 contest, not the 2015 one. I don't want to revert to the 'citation needed' tag, as there's a one-revert policy in place and arguably I've already done one. Could you find a source for 2015 or self-revert to the tag? (And it's much better to add information, including sources, to the body: the lead should be a summary of the body, and everything in the lead should be in the body. If it's done this way, there's no need for citations in the lead, which makes it look cleaner.) Thanks. EddieHugh (talk) 15:04, 29 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Well, the source is certainly unspecific as to timing - I have self-reverted and I take your second point. I shall look for a better source. Jontel (talk) 15:10, 29 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
