Speedy deletion nomination of Teamsupport.com edit

A tag has been placed on Teamsupport.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. andy (talk) 22:12, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

on the Talk:Teamsupport.com page, you wrote, "The above companies are just a few of our competitors who have Wikipedia pages, and other than perhaps being larger, have no other right to have pages here than we do". However, no company has a "right" to a page on Wikipedia. Those companies which are considered notable generally have pages. Notability is shown by significant published coverage in independent reliable sources. In addition the tone of a Wikipedia article must be neutral and factual, not promotional.
Moreover, that another article may fail these guidelines does not exempt this article from them. Wikipedia runs on volunteer labor, and it may be that no one has notice the other articles yet.
note that Parature cites several independent sources, Zendesk has been tagged as having problems, and may be deleted in future, as is Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Also you wrote that "We tried to make the page for TeamSupport as non-commercial as possible" and "have no other right to have pages here than we do.", It is not allowed for a Wikipedia account to be shared or used on behalf of a group or company. Furthermore, if you are an employee, owner, or affiliate of Teamsupport, you should read our conflict of interest guideline. You are discouraged from writing about people or things with which you are closely associated because it is very hard to be neutral about them. DES (talk) 01:17, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have deleted the article, but if you wish I will restore it to User:JohnsonRC/Teamsupport.com, where you can edit it to attempt to document the significance and notability of the company before moving the page back to the main article space. Put a msg on the bottom of User talk:DESiegel if you want me to do this. DES (talk) 01:21, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I have restored this to User:JohnsonRC/Teamsupport.com. You are free to work on it there until you have made it into a valid article.
That should mean that statements of fact are backed up by citations of reliable sources. There should be enough in the way of cited independent coverage to establish notability and verifibility. The article should be written in a factual, neutral tone, and if there have been published criticisms, they should be included and given their proper weight. The article should not sound like a marketing document or an advertisement.
You should also read and consider the conflict of interest guideline.
There is no formal process for moving the article back to the main article space. You can use the "move" tab to move it back at any time. But if the issues are not dealt with, someone is likely to tag it for deletion again. I advise you to ask an experienced editor to look the page over when you think it is ready. One place to obtain such advice is Wikipedia:Requests for feedback. Also if you want help with style or formatting, feel free to ask me or any experienced editor for advice. The Help desk is one place to get advice on how to work with Wikipedia. You can also ask for help by putting the {{helpme}} template on your user talk page (this page) beside a question.
Good luck in developing a useful article. Please look at the various links in this message. DES (talk) 22:48, 3 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:JohnsonRC/Teamsupport.com edit

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on User:JohnsonRC/Teamsupport.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising,  . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Secret account 06:17, 20 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
