Purpose of this index?

edit

How comprehensive or up to date is this page, really? It seems like a gargantuan task, and I'm not sure what the clear benefit is, since when trying to find a page, it's almost always easier to just search the Wikipedia namespace. I'd suggest either finding a way to automate the maintenance of this page, or just marking it as historical and abandoning it. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 08:50, 30 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sdkb, I concur. I encountered this page while seeking resources to support a WikiProject. Many links were themselves historical, or should have been. I contemplated updating that section based on my recent experience but decided there were other better sources already. —¿philoserf? (talk) 08:55, 30 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
The benefit for me is that it helps me find things that I didn't know to search for. I often come to this page, pick a random letter, and scan the list; I almost always learn about something that I didn't know was a thing. It's also helpful for finding a specific page about a subject that has a lot of related pages, as the search box dropdown is so literal. Schazjmd (talk) 13:48, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Schazjmd: if you are still using this page, feel free to delete lines with obsolete links. – Fayenatic London 10:27, 4 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
