High failure at Shituwa secondary school

edit

This school is in Ohangwena region Endola constituency, located almost 23 KM from Oshakati. It was discovered that the school has high failure due to the lack of study material like, books . another causes of failure is lack of commitment and poor self-esteem among learners. Learners are not serious with the school works and some of them do not stay at school when is study time and also high absenteeism contribute huge to the failure. another major causes of failure that has been detected is poverty. many of learners do not have electricity at their houses and some come hungry at school and this hinder them from contributing and concentrating on the class. another causes of failure at Shituwa secondary school is caused by abuse of alcohol among learners and it was discovered that the school is close to shebeens, and learners always jump over the fence at night to go consume alcohol. Principal, teachers, parents and director of education always make held meeting with learners to encourage them to study hard. This year (2012) the principal of Shituwa invite Tim Ekandjo for MTN to address learners and motivate them to study hard . he focused more on importance of school and life after school.
