Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Eastport, New York, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". BlueboyLINY (talk) 04:28, 10 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Bbb23 (talk) 22:52, 15 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I was unaware of the differences between minor edits and disruptive edits. No edits I made were major nor intended to be disruptive. I am now aware of the differences and resolve to not make disruptive edits in the future. [[1]] Joeyjoeymintzmintz (talk) 14:41, 17 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

This is a bizarre unblock request. You seem to be saying you thought it was okay to make disruptive edits so long as you marked them "minor". You don't describe how your future edits would differ from your previous edits. Yamla (talk) 20:02, 17 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I did not think it was okay to make disruptive edits. I did not even know that I was making disruptive edits, I honestly thought they were minor edits. I was unaware of the difference between minor edits and non-minor edits. I am now acutely aware of the differences and will not make disruptive edits in the future. Wikipedia is a truly special place on the internet and it would be an honor to be a contributor. Joeyjoeymintzmintz (talk) 19:09, 18 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

The other issue that I see here is that you seem to have a conflict of interest and may be a paid editor. Please tell how your edits will be consistent with those policies and describe the topics you will edit about. 331dot (talk) 08:59, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hello, there are paid editors? I thought Wikipedia is edited by volunteers. The topics that I will edit will be primarily in the alcohol industry with a focus on canned drinks. There has been an explosion of products available that do not yet have pages on Wikipedia. Thank you for your reconsiderationJoeyjoeymintzmintz (talk) 14:07, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. HighInBC Need help? Just ask. 12:43, 25 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

To answer your question without passing on your request: By "paid editors", we mean people who are paid by third parties to post content here, usually of a promotional nature. Go scrolling through Upwork or Fiverr, you'll see a lot of those out there. We allow this only as long as the editor discloses the relationship prior to posting. Daniel Case (talk) 18:24, 19 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Joey, may I also suggest that you read WP:N and WP:OR. Not all companies or brands or products meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Just because something exists doesn't mean it's an appropriate encyclopedia entry. Moreover, you don't have to be a paid editor to have a conflict of interest, and adding first-hand knowledge is not allowed. Matuko (talk) 01:46, 21 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
