The gay slang article

I deleted THAT version of the article because it really did contain just immature homophobic crap. The version that I believe that you are talking about was deleted via WP:AFD. We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles that have been tagged for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, which can be fixed and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated! Some points that may be helpful: Our main aim is to help improve articles, so if someone seeks help, please try to assist if you are able. Likewise feel free to ask for help, advice and clarification. Many times we are asked to help rescue articles by people new to our notability and sourcing policies. If the article is not fixable we can help explain why and offer alternatives. Many of these editors are also new to Wikipedia so may see deleting "their" article as "bitey". HISTORY OF PRESENTATION ARCHIVE, SAN FRANCISCO Presentation Archive was established in 1978 to centralize, organize, preserve, protect and make available the records and materials which pertain to the origin, history, spirit and growth of the San Francisco community of Sisters of the Presentation. The archive reflects the various apostolates and ministries of the Sisters of the Presentation, both from the viewpoint of participation in these apostolates and from that of their relationship to the individuals and communities served through these apostolates. The San Francisco Presentation sisters have a tradition of recording their daily life and activities, most notably through annals, since their foundation in 1854. Despite having experienced great loss during the disaster of the 1906 Earthquake and Fire, the sisters were able to salvage important documents of those early pioneering years. The early caretakers of these historical records were sisters who had training in librarianship or served as congregational secretary. In 1978, the community appointed Sister Kathleen Griffin, PBVM as their first official archivist. During this time a national movement was underway for religious congregations to establish their community's archive. The effort was made in confluence with women religious beginning to reconnect with the charism of their founders and early historical beginnings. Sister Kathleen was sent by her community to attend national meetings and courses in archival studies to acquire the necessary training. She implemented preservation and organizational standards, and created inventories for the collections to make them accessible. A secure location was established for the archive and eventually a mobile Space-Saver shelving system was installed. Presentation Archive continues to provide reference services and access to its collections for members of the community, their affiliates, and the public. Members of the community utilize collections for retreats, presentations and conferences they organize. Leadership and administrators request past business and legal records for reference and documentation purposes. Other types of requests are made for alumni events, genealogy inquiries, and Catholic, educational or historical publications. Additionally, the archive provides historical displays and conducts tours of its repository for individuals and local and national groups of archivists and religious. PRESENTATION ARCHIVE MISSION STATEMENT Presentation Archive’s mission is to centralize, organize, preserve, protect and make available the records and materials which pertain to the origin, history, spirit and growth of the Congregation.

List of 70mm films

I've removed the two Bollywood titles you added. The list is for films which originated on 65mm/70mm negative - if we listed all the films which were blow-ups to 70mm the list would be hundreds of titles long. Sholay was filmed in 35mm and despite the claims of imdb, it's pretty likely that Around the World was too. In fact, I'm pretty sure no Bollywood film has ever used 65mm/70mm neagtive stock. I de-linked the league names in this section, as it's hard to read a section with many wiki-links (especially if the text in the section is short). I don't know, I think it would be better to just wiki-link all relevant links; the league names aren't the most important things to wiki-link in a video game article. hi, rescue needed

Hi Jodi.a.schneider ,

I just stumbled upon your page and i am happy to find that there is a 'Article Rescue Squadron' in Wikipedia. I must admit that in fast few months, i created some really bad articles, lacking references, unknowingly had few copy vio issues etc. Though the subject/topic of most of them were notable, but the articles were really not upto quality. Currently i am restricted for editing in main space for next two weeks. The list of remaining articles is User:Maheshkumaryadav/Creations. I would be thankful is you can help save some of them (if you feel they should be). Talk:Chandigarh_Capital_Region#Sub-articles that should probably go may need immediate attention. Thanks. Sorry, for butting in here, but I'm Mahesh's official mentor (assigned in lieu of a ban; if you care for the details, see Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/IncidentArchive696#User Maheshkumaryadav creating a slew of poor articles, and I want to clarify what happened. Mahesh's articles were not a problem because of quality, but because of fundamental violations of policy and poor choices about creating separate articles versus adding information to existing articles. In the specific articles in question relating to Chandigarh, Mahesh created separate articles for every aspect of a region of India. At the moment, a number of different editors are trying to determine if the most fundamental topic (Chandigarh Capital Region) is notable (I actually think it is, but not everyone agrees); there is basically universal agreement that the sub-articles (like Economy of Chandigarh Capital Region) should not exist and instead should be sections within the main article (whatever that turns out to be). I welcome the Article Rescue Squadron's involvement (I welcome anyone's involvement, actually, as this is a fairly extensive set of issues that are sometimes tricky to sort out), but this is most definitely not a case of the articles being considered for removal just because of a lack of quality. Any ARS member wishing to join would probably do best by starting with the entirety of Talk:Chandigarh Capital Region to see the issues we're working on. Qwyrxian (talk) 00:29, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Two minor issues with flowchart

Hey Jodi,

I'm a big fan of File:Deletion process on English Wikipedia (flowchart).jpg, but two minor things.

1. Non-admins can close deletion debates - see WP:NAC. The bottom left hand box ("Admin makes a decision...") could be split out to allow for non-admin closures. Depends on whether you want to show deletion to be even more complex than it already is!
2. WP:DRV can apply to keeps as well as deletes. The current placement of the box about DRV suggests that it is only for admin deletes, but can be for admin or non-admin decisions of any kind (although in WP:NAC keeps, generally that doesn't happen as an admin just steps in and overrules the decision).

Thanks for the comments. The chart is an intentional simplification (my first version didn't even take account of the WP:BLP process). You're right that WP:NAC is worth mentioning. I've added it to the exceptions list -- I think it fits better there. Regarding keeps and WP:DRV-- that's a good point. I've reworded this as "Decisions can be contested at Deletion Review." and repositioned the box. Take another look and let me know if you spot other improvements that could be made!
