Username miss-spelling

Copied this talk message from the old jmchnh talk page before replacing that entire page with the #REDIRECT directive as mentioned below.

I saw your edit here, and figured you could use some help. You can resolve this "username issue" a few different ways. One way is to simply change your user page to be #REDIRECT [[User:Jmcgnh]] and change your talk page to be #REDIRECT [[User_talk:Jmcgnh]], then afterwards start using your new account and no longer use this one. The other way is to request a username change. Since you seem to have already created the new account, I think the first option might be easier. Otherwise, you can request to have an usurpation done. Thanks, ~Oshwah~. I went with the #REDIRECT method as you advised. From the description of usurpation, my situation doesn't appear to qualify, since both accounts are quite new and have no significant contributions so far. Customized signature and lower-casing username

I probably should not be fighting long-standing conventions at this point, but I strongly prefer to have my username appear as lowercase wherever I can, so I added the "lowercase title" template to my user and talk pages and set a preference for a customized signature, inspired by User:Oshwah. --jmcgnh^{(talk) (contribs)} 07:31, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
