Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:58, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

RE: Debasement

It is not OK to reinsert content which has been removed for cause. You should use the article talk page to discuss your concern with other editors and await consensus rather than reinsert what you believe to be the correct version. Thanks.

I have been using the talk page to discuss my concerns. Do not remove my edits simply because you personally disagree with them, they are sourced.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Please undo your most recent edit and use the talk page. Thanks. SPECIFICO talk 00:14, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please read WP:RS edit

Please read WP:RS, which explains what is required of a reference in order to cite it as a source for article text. You've added citations which are not RS, so the text remains unsupported per WP policy. You should undo your reinsertion of the reverted text and use talk. Your concerns can be discussed there with other editors. Thanks. SPECIFICO talk 00:40, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The sources that I have added are considered to be reliable.Jim767676 (talk) 01:07, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

No, they are not. You're on thin ice with this. Please read the policies and do a bit of research on the content so your additions will remain part of the article. SPECIFICO talk 01:09, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

You say they are not reliable. I say that they are and conform to WP:RS, I have read the polices and done research as well. You claim that removing silver from US coins is not debasing them. I happen to disagree. You claim that removing copper from US pennies is not debasing them. I disagree. I have cited my sources as to why I have edited this article, you give no source and no reason other than an ambiguous reference to Wiki policies. It seems that you are on thin ice, and not I.

You just claimed a source as reliable which publishes articles such as Hamid Karzai admits clandestine role as Howie Mandel. Seriously? Also, the burden of evidence rests with the editor who wants content included; SPECIFICO and I don't have to present sources to justify the removal of dubious content without truly reliable sources. Edit warring on Lyndon B. Johnson edit

You've already received the standard boilerplate about edit warring, but you have continued and are unquestionably past 3RR. The usual next step is someone files a complaint and you get blocked. If you'd like to avoid that, I suggest you self-revert and follow the instructions at WP:BRD which describe the best practice for dealing with disputed content. Remember: it doesn't matter whether you're right or wrong; edit warring is prohibited. Rivertorch (talk) 16:30, 25 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
