The drama of the block & hijacked user name change edit

Please hold on while we wait to hear from the blocking admin. In the meantime here is some explanation. The account name you requested[1] was registered[2] and blocked for vandalism[3] shortly after your request to change name. I suggest you take the time to think of another. -- zzuuzz (talk) 13:51, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

{{unblock|1=I was asked to change my user name and was blocked. I requested an unblock so that i could submit the request to change my user name. I submitted said request within 30 minutes of being blocked. I chose a new user name related to the pages i was most recently creating or/and editing because it was on my mind. I then was accused of being the Joker Vandal and my account entirely blocked. I had an admin, PeterSymonds, via IRC review my account and he reïnstated my talk page and wrote the admin who blocked me. My request to change my user name was denied because my account is presently blocked. I'm a fan of mono band and the older The Cranberry Saw Us / The Cranberries and was tired of waiting for someone else to add those releases into the discography of The Cranberries and create the entry for mono band. I was in the process of adding in the sources where i had not put them in yet when my account was blocked. jh0367 (talk) 12:46, 22 May 2009 (UTC)}}Reply

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

You're now unblocked and good to go with my apologies. It would seem your username request was placed by another individual who in turn used the opportunity to vandalize the site, specifically my talk page and that of others. Unfortunately, there are some incredibly immature little people who coordinate these sorts of things offsite; there is one in particular whose MO this is, or so I've learned. I've dealt with these jerks before, but this is a new tactic and I'll be alert for the possibility of similar attacks in the future. I will restore your deleted contributions as well. I have to admit, this whole affair didn't make any sense. It seemed ludicrous for someone to contribute in a meaningful manner and then immediately start in to talk page vandalism. I'm glad that other admins familiar with this coordinated idiocy alerted me to the situation. I hope you continue to contribute and I hope you'll turn to me for assistance in the future.

My Original Account edit

So after 3 years and one month i finally was able to figure out the email address password associated with my original account and log in. Now to figure out what to do with two accounts, this one set up in December 2008 and the other established August 2006. jh0367 (talk) 15:52, 12 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I decided to use this as my alternate account since delirious & lostTALK is used elsewhere on the web and it is my preferred user name. This account will be reserved for unsecure networks and those articles where i have previously edited with this user name.jh0367TALK 10:07, 14 October 2009 (UTC) Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Run Wild edit

The article Run Wild has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No non-primary references, no claim of notability, fails WP:NSONG and WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
