Lillian Marrero Library

edit

Hallo, Thanks for creating this article which I came across while stub-sorting. A couple of points...

  • References go after punctuation, without spaces.
  • If you use a reference more than once, please name it and re-use it - have a look at the edits I've made, they show how to do it.
  • Don't forget that this is an international encyclopedia, and it's important to give a geographical context as soon as possible, even though to you as, I guess, an American, it's quite obvious where a branch of the "Philadelphia Free Library" will be. Plenty of city names are ambiguous, and someone in South Africa or north east England might well locate "Philadelphia" elsewhere. Even if in this case the city is pretty well known internationally, it's just a good habit to locate everywhere by naming the country (and US state).
  • My reaction to seeing the article was that I'd like to know more about Lillian Marrero - perhaps coverage in local papers at the time of the opening might have said more than just "community activist"? But then I tend to think that about anyone for whom a building, or a biological species or galactic object, is named.

Welcome to Wikipedia editing - there are a lot of librarians (student, working and retired) editing here! Iguess the urge to share and organise knowledge goes with the territory. PamD 15:27, 25 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
