Image licensing edit

Hey there...

I am trying to clean up some of the images with minor licensing issues and I came across Image:Jef.jpg which is only used on your userpage. If you are going to use the image, could you go and fix the licensing on the image page and be clear about releasing the image under a GFDL license (or another free license). Thanks. If you have any questions, please drop me a note on my talk page. --Jordan 1972 (talk) 00:59, 5 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

File:Jef poskanzer the Wikipedian.jpg missing description details edit

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as:

is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions, please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Theo's Little Bot (error?) 10:37, 14 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please don't cherry-pick tweets and add them to articles edit

As an encyclopedia, we expect the content to be mainly based on what reliable secondary sources have to say - if they'd discussed this particular tweet we could add it sourced to them. Without that it doesn't belong, see WP:WEIGHT. Thanks. Doug Weller talk 10:17, 8 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Important Notice edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

August 2020 edit

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:Dinesh D'Souza. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 12:40, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Saying someone likes to delete content based on weak reasons is an attack? 🤔 Jef (talk) 15:34, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
