Hello, Jbdbaseball and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students.

Go through our online training for students.

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, if your class doesn't already have one. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Stuartyeates (talk) 08:51, 30 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Peer Review

edit

Sorry I didn't get this posted earlier. I was confused on where this needed to be sent. I hope that this information will help you (and that this is the right place).
Here is my peer review for the article: (1) The article does contain important information for both general and scientific audiences. However, attempts to mix it and define everything, I feel, takes away a bit from the professional feel. This I find especially in “Heavy Chain (larger peptide subunit)” etc. (2) I feel like there can be a better transition to the second paragraph. It lacks a topic sentence to understand what will be contained there. In the third paragraph, there could be a better integration of what the different targeted proteins are. The current flow seems rather stuttered. (3) Length for each section does seem good. (4) I believe that the sections are well balanced. (5) It does satisfy aims. (6) The terms are linked well in general. “Proteolytic cleavage” could be a good term to link. (7) The image does help, but I did notice that the exact same figure is found already on the Botulinium toxin page. (8) The references are good. (9) I believe that “Light Chain” and “Heavy Chain” should both be lower case. In paragraph three, it says “BoNT/C Also…”; the “also” should be lower case. There are times that it feels a bit wordy with a lot of “this results in”, or “by doing so”, etc. A more clear and concise description could improve clarity. (10) All of the assigned criteria is satisfied. However, I need to add, I am not sure that I see this fitting well in the article on SNARE proteins. A brief overview of this information would probably be sufficient, especially since there is a page on Botulinium toxin. Some of this information might be better integrated there. Your draft article, User:Jbdbaseball/sandbox

edit

Hello, Jbdbaseball. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "sandbox".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|User:Jbdbaseball/sandbox}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 20:22, 26 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
