June 2020 edit

  Hello, I'm Cyphoidbomb. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Thappad, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Diffs: [1][2] I watched the cast credits twice and don't see the name Rakesh Krushna Joshi in them. Further, IMDb is not a reliable source, as it is user-generated. See WP:UGC. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:15, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Jayant Mahagate. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Based on your recent edits, it appears that you are only here to add the name Rakesh Krushna Joshi to articles. That leads me to believe that you have a conflict of interest, which you would have to declare. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:25, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

June 2020 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. As I previously noted, I watched the closing credits of Thappad twice but didn't see the "Rakesh Krushna Joshi" name appear as you would have us believe. Further, after looking into the alleged actor, I see that he's maybe 17, has a useless blog and a laughable poetry "podcast", which suggests to me that he is not a noteworthy actor, rather, just a kid who thinks he's somehow going to make a name for himself being a pain in the arse on Wikipedia. Not going to happen.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:31, 27 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
