Thief! edit

Hey, you stole my userpage! Haha, actually, I really don't care! I'm actually quite flattered! Anyway, happy editing. Jaredt  18:02, 13 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Now that you mention it, can you fix the formatting on the page? Please. :) --Zamkudi 07:43, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Judo at the 2004 Summer Olympics edit

Hi Jared, a couple of months ago you requested a split of this article into event pages. What do you think of the result? I'd like to use tournament brackets for all the "match sports" for Olympic results, so judo is a good guinea pig for discussion. Thanks, Andrwsc 23:09, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'll respond here. I very much like the result. I think it is very consistent with all the other pages of the 2004 Olympics, and is what I think we should strive for as far as all the other pages. Again, good job. It was not something I was planning on doctoring up anytime soon! The brackets, I've found, work well, as long as the group size is reasonable. Jaredt  23:16, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. The only thing I'm a little bit hesitant about is that I could not use the full name of each athlete because the bracket would be too wide. I'm looking to do Taekwondo at the 2004 Summer Olympics next, and fortunately that sport only has 16 entrants per event, so the brackets are one level less. Andrwsc 00:17, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I see you nominated this list back in 2006. Sadly, I think it no longer meets the WP:FLC. Colin°Talk 16:40, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Biathlon edit

It should be possible to include the data using a spreadsheet - it looks a bit better now. I'd rather have people's times than the difference, though, because it was an individual race and what was recorded was the time, not the difference behind. Don't have too many feelings either way though. Sam Vimes | Address me 11:48, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Will Shade.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Will Shade.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 13:21, 22 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Did you know? edit

On 25 May, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Youth Olympic Games, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Orphaned non-free image (Image:CAPT.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:CAPT.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 08:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Images / formatting in your User page/subpages edit

Jared - I just created an SVG version of the Olympics WP logo, and I just wanted to let you know that I updated it on one of your subpages. Also, I fixed your Awards subpage by adding {{clear}} [1]. I typically try not to edit other people's user pages, but I always let them know when I do. Aside from that, I hope all is well with you :o) tiZom(2¢) 05:09, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yes, everything's fine with me! Thank you for letting me know! I usually don't care if someone edits my pages, because 9 times out of 10 it's something that makes it better. Jaredt  11:03, 31 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
