Lauren kennewell

edit

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article Lauren kennewell has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:30, 16 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Lauren Chamberlain

edit

The article Lauren Chamberlain has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. reddogsix (talk) 21:21, 29 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Softball coaches

edit

I noticed your additions to the list of NCAA division 1 coaches, first, thank you for the updates. You're improving the encyclopedia, and if I can ever be of assistance, let me know, or ask folks at the WP:TEAHOUSE, they're terrific.

I did notice an issue, though, you left all the coaches names linked, in square brackets. That takes people to the Wikipedia article of the name inside the double square brackets, which is great if it's the right person, but not so great if it's the business executive Megan Smith instead of the SD coach, or the famous actor Robert Wagner, well, you get the idea. Would you consider having a poke through those and simply removing the brackets from any that direct readers to the wrong person? (I already caught Wagner and Smith, but maybe there's one or two more, not sure.)

Anyway, that's a small thing, welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for helping to improve the encyclopedia. It actually is the reason most of us are here, in the end. All the best, --joe deckertalk 08:15, 10 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters softball, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Josh Taylor. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:07, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Jackwebb123! Your additions to Chris Douglas-Roberts have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 11:07, 27 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
