Welcome!
editHello, JZimbalist, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Jeff Zimbalist, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

before the question. Again, welcome! Kj cheetham (talk) 16:02, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
Please respond
editHi JZimbalist. Please respond so others know you understand Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline and how you intend to proceed. --Hipal (talk) 16:47, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. --Hipal (talk) 16:22, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, just saw this. All that I added to the bio was update that one of my films just won two emmys last week. And I updated the photo since the last one was outdated. If there are other areas you suggest I revise so they're less promotional, I'm happy to do that. I read the Conflict of Interest Guideline and will use {{edit COI}} template for any changes I suggest going forward. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do at this time. Apologies for my mistake and thank you! JZimbalist (talk) 21:17, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding. You removed the template and short description, once again.[1][2][3] I suggest you work from edit requests on the talk page to prevent such problems that might otherwise result in actions limiting your editing. --Hipal (talk) 16:03, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- Why is that warning still helpful? I've fixed the updates I did last week and won't continue to do any updates (except as "edit requests"). If you have a request for me to revise the page in some way in order to remove the warning, please let me know what you would like me to revise. Thank you! JZimbalist (talk) 18:04, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- The article needs review and cleanup to meet Wikipedia's policies. I wish I had the time to do the work myself. --Hipal (talk) 19:53, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
- Is there someone you suggest to do this? I'm happy to do it myself, but it sounds like that will cause more problems. JZimbalist (talk) 21:20, 30 May 2024 (UTC)

WP:COIADVICE may help.
If you want to make the article easier to review, that would be a good first step. All the references need to include the title, publication date, publisher, and any authors. See Wikipedia:Citing sources.
The next step would be identifying poor references, then either remove them along with the corresponding article content, or replace them with better sources. See WP:BLPRS.
Once everything is properly verified by high-quality sources, additional work may be needed to make sure everything in the article is suitable for an encyclopedia article and presented with proper balance and weight. --Hipal (talk) 00:01, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
- Okay thanks! Will do this. JZimbalist (talk) 00:09, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
