File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:28bek3d.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:24, 19 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

JBMTI (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I was blocked for the reason of using my JBMTI account to edit entries from multiple computers/IP addresses. I was unaware at the time that a group account was not allowed, but now that I understand this rule I will adhere to it. Therefore, I am appealing the block under the premise that the block is no longer necessary.

Decline reason:

Using various computers and IPs isn't a blockable matter. (I use a few in the course of a year.) The reason given in the block log is permitting multiple person use of the account. That is blockable, as the account is compromised. A compromised account doesn't get unblocked. Can you explain a bit further what has been going on? Peridon (talk) 20:14, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Ah. Your username appears to represent an organisation. That is, I think, what you have been blocked for, and rightly under WP:USERNAME. It's not using multiple IPs, it's the WP:COI and possibility of WP:SPAM. This name is unsuitable (although if you had been editing about Australian jellyfish it would have been OK). So it goes. Request reason:

So if I change my username, will I be unblocked? I am not editing problematically with my account, after all. I know that the first draft of the article I submitted has some corrections that need to be made, and I am working on them now.JBMTI (talk) 20:54, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I apologize for the slipshod work by my fellow admin when blocking you. It is normal for the blocking admin to leave a template or other remarks on your talk page which clearly explain the reasoning behind the block. Why they didn't bother to do that I can't say. However I believe I have a simple solution. You are "soft" blocked, meaning you should be able to simply start a new account with a username that represents only you, not an organization. Um... maybe. I'm a little unclear about what's going on from the block log and Peridon's comments. Have you at any time allowed another person to use this account? Hersfold (t/a/c) 23:59, 9 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I think the comment by the blocking admin threw us. I interpret it as being a group name block rather than a case of multiple people actually editing, but I hadn't at first realised it was a group name. (It's not like User:Jonesco Computer Repairs in terms of being obvious at first sight...) Peridon (talk) 16:51, 10 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
