Wikipedia and copyright

Hello Infomtba, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Mountain Bike Australia have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

Hello @Diannaa, @infomtba is a legitimate member of the Mountain Bike Australia team/ staff member editing the MTBA Wikipedia page under the authority of our CEO, Mr Shane Coppin. We are aware that many edits have been made in the last couple of days and we apologise for having made some editing mistakes. On the other hand, we do not understand why you are claiming copyrights issues as most of the information that is being added to the page is either being referenced or/and original work from MTBA. We are actively working on providing the most accurate information to Wikipedia and its readers. We hope that you can unblock @infomtba and let us keep our current username, as we are looking forward to making future contributions. Can you please advise why or how we can make the necessary changes to MTBA’s Wikipedia page, so we can have it upgraded correctly? In addition, do you require a letter from our CEO? When it comes to copyrighted material, the issue isn't entirely who owns it, it's also how it is licenced. Wikipedia is available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence ("CC-By-SA") and the GNU Free Documentation Licence ("GFDL"). The way copyright works is that the specific licence used must be specified at time of creation, otherwise it is fully copyrighted; this is why all Wikipedia pages clarify the licence in the webpage's footer. Both of those licences are also irrevocable once declared, which is why we do not accept material blindly copy-pasted from a website regardless of whether or not the material is owned by whoever's reposting it.
