License tagging for Image:L 5da21ed839f995a35cd76ffa33056de9.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:L 5da21ed839f995a35cd76ffa33056de9.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:07, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

Historic Fort Meade pics edit

Hi! I noticed you added some pics to the Fort Meade page of historic buildings in the area. I'm trying to get photos of all the National Register of Historic Places listings in Florida, and these look like some of the ones I'm looking for. Is the Christ Church picture you took of this Christ Church? And are any of the others in the Fort Meade Historic District? If so, I can update the articles with the pics.
I've got a list of ones I'm looking for, at User:Ebyabe/NRHPs in FL pix needed. It's just my way of keeping track. Also when I discover others similarly interested, it can provide a central reference point, to coordinate efforts and such. I've been planning a trip down US 27 (I'm in Marion County) and around Lake Okeechobee for a while, to get the places along there. But if you're able to get any in the area, that would help me loads. Anything you do in this regard would be deeply appreciated. :)
Oh, could I convince you to upload your pics to WikiCommons? I'm trying to get all the NRHP pics there, b/c they can be organized better. It's where I upload all of mine, as you can see here. It's not that hard, and I can give advice if you'd like. Goodness knows I've had enough experience uploading photos there! ;)
Btw, I hope you're ok down there, after all the storms yesterday. It looked pretty bad on the Weather Channel. At least maybe you got some much needed rain? -Ebyabe 12:54, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Non-free use disputed for Image:Judgement.jpg edit

  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Judgement.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:04, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate Image:W.D.jpg edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:W.D.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:W.D.jpg is a duplicate of an already existing article, category or image.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:W.D.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of Mayor R.C. McClellan House edit

The article Mayor R.C. McClellan House has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication that this particular house is of any interest aside from a mayor having lived there.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 16:46, 26 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Finishedreidhouse2.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Finishedreidhouse2.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. MGA73 (talk) 10:35, 2 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:FMBadge.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:FMBadge.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Fort meade school house.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Fort meade school house.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:45, 26 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
