Speedy deletion nomination of Parivaar (NCPO) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Parivaar (NCPO) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Bisswajit (talk) 07:11, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

November 2013 edit

Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Parivaar (NCPO). If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Some Very Good Advice edit

Thank you for your recent contributions, such as Parivaar (NCPO). Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Fiddle Faddle 13:51, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

somewhat older news, plus other good advice

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Parivaar (NCPO). If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Oddbodz - (Talk) (Contribs) 14:36, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you remove a speedy deletion notice from a page you have created yourself, as you did at Parivaar (NCPO), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Oddbodz - (Talk) (Contribs) 14:49, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

It is not your article edit

You left a message on my talk page suggesting various things to do with "Your article". It is not your article. Please read WP:OWN. You need time to learn your trade here. AT present you are not ready. WIth study and time you may be ready soon. Please take that time. Fiddle Faddle 14:03, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Stop and think edit

Please stop and think about what you are doing. You have created a situation where, if it carries on, you will have chosen to be blocked from editing. Is this what you want to achieve? Please take a break and think about the standards required here. You need to reach those standards, so stop fighting and start learning. If you need help please ask. but stop your battle, it is one which you are guaranteed to lose. Fiddle Faddle 14:54, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Now, I hope I have your attention. No-one wants you to fail here. If you are ready to learn I am ready to teach. I will start by giving you an essay to read. Please study this essay. It is not perfect, but it provides decent help. Follow the links it provides, and work your way quietly through it. Fiddle Faddle 15:00, 24 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
The article has been deleted. That is not fatal to it. Please look at WP:AFC and consider how to recreate it, initially in your sandbox. You will find that at User:Indian Fellow/sandbox. Read the essay I just posted for you above and then create the article there in relative peace and quiet. Submit it through AFC and wait patiently for the process to work. Why do you want an article protected? edit

Greetings! I see that you've requested, from two different users, to have Nenjam Marappathillai protected. What reason do you see that the article needs protected? I don't see any ongoing issues at the page that require protection.

Further, do you realize that if the article were protected, that you would not be able to edit the article? —C.Fred (talk) 15:27, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello C.Fred, methinks they may misunderstand how protection works, and indeed, pillar three generally. Working on it. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 15:53, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

rough draft Parivaar article edit

Not to be confused with STAR_Parivaar_Awards of Bollywood, the television series Parrivaar in 2007, or Parivaar_(1987_film).

Parivaar is a federation of NGOs founded in 1995 by Vinayak_Lohani, located in India, related to the NCPO.[1] Their primary efforts are training and support for families in India that work with autism, cerebral palsy, and similar disabilities.[2]

Sometimes it is okay to use information published by Parivaar, for uncontroversial facts. However, we need more than that to prove they belong in wikipedia.

Question#1: are there any newspaper articles (printed or online) about this group, or about the founders of this group? 74.192.84.101 (talk) 16:13, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Question#2: are there any government publications (printed or online) about this group, or about the founders of this group? 74.192.84.101 (talk) 16:13, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

possible sources for Parivaar edit

  1. Is this the main WP:ABOUTSELF publication? [3]
  2. Parent organization? Another WP:ABOUTSELF publication. [4]
  3. Maybe related?[5]

Hope this helps. 74.192.84.101 (talk) 17:59, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Nenjam Marappathillai edit

The article Nenjam Marappathillai has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notable? Seriously? I think not. Without verification of any putative notability this may not remain here

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Nenjam.jpeg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Nenjam.jpeg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fiddle Faddle 23:49, 29 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Nenjam.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Nenjam.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 13:22, 11 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
