Mountain Metropolitan Transit

edit

Don't give me the bull about the stuff being in for years. You have added it in the past 6 months. There is no need to know the routes in 2005. There is no need to know all the old buses. Give a listing where route info can be found as many transit systems change routes every few months. There is NO SHOUTING in articles. There are no hr tags in articles. Only add categories that are already present in Wikipedia. Bgwhite (talk) 20:55, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

BgWhite: I am not sure what the issue is with several peoples edits on the Mountain Metro Transit page, but, you seem to be the only person to want to remove what we have all had up there for over a year. I did not add the bus fleet section, however, it is significant to the over all history, which is why an encyclopedia is about. It's not about 3 paragraphs of vague historical details. If anything, your removal of the content is disruptive, and I look forward to hearing from Wiki on this matter now that you have requested them their attention.
You need to sign your talk post messages. First off, NO SHOUTING. There should be NO SHOUTING in articles. Giving routes of past years is not needed and it is not encyclopedic. An encyclopedia gives an overall summary, not detailed information like past routes, 50 bus types used or detailed history of routes. Routes often change monthly. It is best to give a link to where the current routes can be found and that is why there is an external links section. If you do want to add it, do not give times and break it off into its own article, such as List of Denver RTD Bus Routes. For trains, light rail or trolleys, the stations do not change often. It is ok in that situation to add routes, but not times. Look at other similar articles such as RTD Bus & Light Rail or Utah Transit Authority. Bgwhite (talk) 05:55, 20 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Mountain Metropolitan Transit/Routes

edit

The article Mountain Metropolitan Transit/Routes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NLIST, WP:MILL. Grouping of bus routes not notable on its own merits. Wikipedia is not a collection of all knowledge nor is it a directory of bus routes.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
