Among the Central Indo-Aryan languages, Western Hindi is a grouping of related dialects, which includes Braj, Haryanvi, Bundeli, Kannauji, and Hindustani (Hindi-Urdu). This does not mean that Modern Standard Hindi and Modern Standard Urdu are dialects of one another; rather than are standard registers of Hindustani (Hindi-Urdu). Professor Afroz Taj of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill explains the history of Hindustani in this article very well. I would encourage you to have a look. Please be assured that I watch the Urdu article closely, so you can ensure that the article will remain reflective of an academic perspective on the language, as long as I am an editor on Wikipedia. Walaikum Salaam ad Khair Mubarak, Urdu is also not completely a register of Hindustani, like Hindi, if Urdu is the language whos name was Hindustani and Hindustani is the name being used for the language spoken around the Delhi area from the 12th century onwards. After the onset of the Delhi Sultanate, this language got mixed with Persian vocabulary and spread throughout the subcontinent. It was written in the Nastaliq script in Deccan, and the written language came back to Delhi in the 19th century and eventually came to be called Urdu. so it should be written on Hindustani language article, not to Urdu article. Language family also means proto-language Western Hindi is not proto-language of Urdu, basically in 1857 Urdu and English made official languages of British India, in 1900, Hindi granted equal status to Urdu in the United Provinces, in 1948, Urdu declared sole national language in Pakistan, and in 1950, Hindi granted separate status and official precedence over Urdu and all other languages in the Republic of India. Biased encyclopedia

@Gotitbro, you make English Wikipedia, the biased encyclopedia, ok, i am not promoting my language and my country, but i am correcting the language details, the Indian director Kabir Khan, also said in an interview that Wikipedia is the biased website, i only want to explain that Many people in the subcontinent think that Urdu is a new language and Hindi is an old language in comparison. However, this is not the case at all. Although Urdu is not a very old language, Hindi is a brand new language and it has been difficult to come into existence for two hundred years. and you can not Lie the truth, okay, may you watch the film Kesari, The whole film was based on the past, and all the letters were written in Perso-Arabic (Urdu alphabet). your all films are proved that, Persian and then Urdu was the language of Indian subcontinent, Hindi granted equal status to Urdu in the United Provinces in 1900s, Hindi is not a old language in Urdu comparison, in 18th or 19th century Hindus argued that Urdu language, should written in Devanagari, and in 1881, Bihar accepted Devanagarised Urdu (Hindi), as there sole language, and Bihar was the first state which adopted the language, Hindi is the old name of Hindustani language, yes i know that The Urdu language was born in India. India was considered to be a golden sparrow in terms of its fertile land and man power. That’s why lots of invaders came to occupy it for different purposes. It so happened that when these different people from different regions of the world came to India they brought with them, among other things, their language as well. People like Arabs, Persians and Turks etc. when mingled with the native people they exchanged many words of their languages and thus with this mingling, a new language emerged which was termed Urdu, meaning the “language of the troops.” Since it was formed by the invaders of the Muslim world and emerged during the rule of the Mughals in India, it was termed as the language of the Muslims and that is why initially it was called Musalmani. yes i know that Urdu is called Hindi (because of the popularity of Hindi language). and it can be the dialect of Hindi, but, Hindi is not an old language in the comarison of Urdu, but in your eyes, Hindi is originated in 769 AD. Huh! Hahahahahaha!

The Britishs seen that Urdu (in that time Hindustani) is the developing language, that's why they divided the language, i like the user @User:Fowler&fowler, beause he made the truth statements on the article Hindustani, but unfortunately the statements were reverted, i don't want Wikipedia anymore, now i will watch ISPR documentaries, ok bye Allah Hafiz. - ImMuslimandimnotaterrorist (talk) 19:03, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
