Stubs

edit

Hi IF - just FYI, I've moved your WP:SFD nominations to a separate subpage (daily subpages are used at SFD) - they still appear on the main WP:SFD page, but transcluded. Grutness...wha? 00:58, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Chinese Taipei

edit

I wasn't changing it specifically to British English, I was making the spelling consistent as it should be according to WP:ENGVAR. There was previously a mix of "organisation" and "organization" throughout the article. There should only be one version of the spelling. I changed it to just one version, which happened to be the "s" version and you reverted it which lead to there been a mix of "s" and "z" once again which should not happen according to WP:ENGVAR. Anyway I have now changed them all to the "z" version throughout the article to stop there been a mix of spelling for the same word. But you shouldn't have left the article with mix of spellings, I hope you understand. Regards Ijanderson (talk) 15:05, 24 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wikinews user rename reminder

edit

Hi, could you confirm that you are the same user as the one at Wikinews who wishes to be renamed here? Please place a confirmation diff on that page, without it the account can't be renamed. Thanks. tempodivalse [☎] 15:09, 8 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi, sorry to bother you again, but we need to see a diff of an edit made by you from this wiki, the English Wikipedia, saying that you are the same user here as you are at en.wikinews and that you want to be renamed at Wikinews. I'm afraid I can't rename your account over there without the confirmation diff. Sorry for all this hassle, but I have to follow the rules.   Thanks again, tempodivalse [☎] 18:25, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Ok then this contrib diff. iForce= 20:07, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the earthquake tip - I've added it to the list article. Taiwantaffy (talk) 09:18, 11 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Added that one too, and changed the {{taiwan earthquakes}} template to include them. Taiwantaffy (talk) 06:48, 12 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited List of companies of Taiwan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Coffee shop (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

IP block exemption

edit

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this newly-granted right to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a serious concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. WilliamH (talk) 13:54, 16 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
