License tagging for File:StarSapphires01.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:StarSapphires01.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

I think, as you suggest, trying to scatter in the real world thing from the interviews that Johns and people do as the issues come out will be helpful and point writers in the right direction (ie this stuff is not real and we don't treat it as such...). I'll take a look later. --Cameron Scott (talk) 15:59, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I would suggest... edit

...that the True Blood characters list needs to be split. With minor characters (such as the Magister or Barry) in their own list similar to this. Darrenhusted (talk) 09:15, 21 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have pulled out the minor characters and put them in a sandbox, feel free to edit and add others. I would suggest waiting until season 2 finishes then reworking all the pages, stripping back the main page to look like The Wire, particularly the cast section. Trimming down the episode summaries in the season pages, and re-arranging the template to remove the minor characters and expanding the full character profiles of the main cast. Minor Characters of True Blood edit

I'm happy with the edits you've made. Also there are some other minor characters like Isabel's human, Steve's henchman, the deputy who is friends with Tara, that are missing. It may be worth trawling the imdb to see if there are any that can be added. Darrenhusted (talk) 17:04, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

True Blood improvements. edit

As the finale approaches this may be the time to get ready to clean up all the various pages. I have the second season page ready here and the list of minor characters here. The template needs tidying and the episode summaries for the second season here and here need to be shortened. Plus once the fates of all the characters are revealed then the minor characters need to be stripped from here and the main characters need to be checked to remove any trivia. Any help would be appreciated. Darrenhusted (talk) 00:42, 29 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

With a fortnight to the finale I suggest making some big moves in preparation, first create the minor characters, then remove the minor characters, create the second season, then transclude the episode summaries from the episode list and then change the cast and characters on the main page to match the layout of The Wire. Darrenhusted (talk) 20:11, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think the cast section on True Blood needs to be more like this, but otherwise just check over Season 2 and the minor characters, maybe start to expand the summaries of the major characters, I started with Sookie. Darrenhusted (talk) 22:48, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Individual True Blood episodes edit

There is a current consensus to not have individual episodes of TV programs (although The Wire, Lost, Family Guy and others have them). The reason for this is because at worst they are just a plot with nothing else, however if you look at Lost you can see the sites that are acceptable for use on episodes. These include these [1], [2], [3], [4]. And provided that the episodes are more than just a plot then they should be able to be completed. I am thinking that once the finale goes out tomorrow that it may be worth finding sources that review True Blood (and the second season has been well covered due to the big ratings) and gradually working back through the 24 episodes. If you are interested let me know. Darrenhusted (talk) 17:34, 12 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yari Citation If You Know How To Add It edit

^ a b c d e Deal, William E (2007). Handbook to Life in Medieval and Early Modern Japan. Oxford University Press. pp. 432. ISBN 978-0195331264 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiggalama (talkcontribs) 19:32, 23 April 2010 (UTC) 'Reply

1. On the talk page, not the regular.
2. It did have a citation.
3. The spartan got the most kills in the simulation and historically the spear has been far more effecitive than the sword for armored combat. The citation is multiple and on the spear page.
4. They talked of a medium range weapon to be tested that was common for the warrior. The Yari was far more common, especially for the scenario, than the Naginata. Their logic is flawed and it is a decent critizism backed up by that citation and many more. This is not original content, it is statistical fact.
5. Your subjective truth. Of course all is opinion other than some form of existance in occurance....anyway....What Wiki is a collection of mainstream thought with historical evidence to be interpreted as the viewer wishes. The flaws such as historical inaccuracies and nonvalid comparisions need to be mentioned.
6. We shouldn't assume the person will read the entire thing. Usually, people are selective in what area they look for. Say you look up Japan, quite often its something specific like the military or the current president. Just because the President is listed above doesn't mean he shouldn't be mentioned under a hierarchy area again and again as necessary.
7. How do you expect equality if you go out of your way to contradict this by mentioning and taking pride in that you are homosexual? Its like asking for Racism to end and celebrating Black History Month. Giving yourself excessive positive reinforcement is quite sad also. I understand that with your sexual inversion there are many quirks, but at least go to the talk page and list it properly, otherwise we get into a "improper war". Good night....or maybe not if to you it involves sodomy lol

6.
