Lyrics are copyrighted, don't add to song articles. Only exception would be if song is in public domain and this is shown in article. Geraldo Perez (talk) 15:57, 8 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
only exceptions if they appear in the public domain.
well, then, why doesn't wikipedia get permission to have the lyrics posted?
or is that beyond your bailiwick ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hmazuji (talkcontribs) 23:18, 11 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia policy is to publish material that can be reused by anyone so permission for Wikipedia use only would break that requirement. If the owner of the song wants, they could release the song with license terms that permits everybody to copy it. They will never do that. Geraldo Perez (talk) 23:33, 11 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm LauritzT. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Faroe Islands seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please also do not insert external links in the body of an article. Thank you. — LauritzT (talk) 05:18, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Faroe Islands. Theroadislong (talk) 13:03, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Faroe Islands. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. — LauritzT (talk) 15:40, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Just stop it.

edit

There's an article titled Faroe Islands. There cannot be a supplement titled "Faroe Islands", "The Faroe Islands", "The faroe islands", "The real faroe islands", "The truth about the Faroe Islands", or anything else. If you persist in posting the same (utterly unsuitable) draft under different titles, you'll be blocked for wasting other editors' time.

Also, please read and digest Wikipedia:Reliable sources. If you're willing to cite what Wikipedia regards as reliable sources, you can make suggestions on Talk:Faroe Islands for improving the article Faroe Islands. -- Hoary (talk) 07:22, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistent disruptive editing. All of your recent editing has been blatantly aimed at promoting a point of view, and has contained undisguised expressions of opinion. Moreover, you have repeatedly posted fake "references" which you must know do not support the article content to which they are attached, evidently with the purpose of using Wikipedia to promote and publicise the web page you have been linking to. You have also edit-warred to keep your unacceptable editing in place. Wikipedia is not a medium for promoting any point of view, no matter how noble a point of view one may consider it. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  JBW (talk) 15:46, 17 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
