Speedy deletion nomination of Hitansh Kataria

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hitansh Kataria requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. --Finngall talk 22:40, 14 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Hitansh Kataria. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Finngall talk 22:40, 14 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Personal web page

edit

Wikipedia is not a social network site, or a web host for posting personal web pages. It is clear that you do not satisfy Wikipedia's notability criteria for articles, and userspace pages (such as User:Hitanshk/Hitansh Kataria are not for keeping article-like pages that are unsuitable as articles. (See Wikipedia:User pages#User pages that look like articles.) You are, of course, welcome to start contributing to the project to build an encyclopaedia, but if your only purpose is to publish a personal web page, then there are many sites where doing so is acceptable, but Wikipedia is not one of them. Welcome to Wikipedia

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, your user page User:Hitanshk/Hitansh Kataria had to be deleted again per our criteria for speedy deletions (U5). User pages must not be promotional nor should they be written like an encyclopedical article from the main article space of Wikipedia. Using Wikipedia as a webhost while not contributing substantially to the encyclopedia is not allowed, so your page was speedily deleted.

Generally, user pages at Wikipedia should reflect the user's on-Wikipedia activities and must not focus on their real life. Please read WP:User pages for an overview of acceptable content. Regards, De728631 (talk) 12:07, 6 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because it is clear that you are not here to contribute to building the encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
