Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Eastern Orthodox Church into Baptism. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 02:10, 8 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Diannaa. Thank you so much for informing me of this, and also for taking care of that, and for doing this for me. I will keep this protocol in mind next time if there is an attribution copy issue, similar to this. Thanks again. Many cheers. Historium Scriv (talk) 23:25, 8 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution (2nd request)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Christian Church into Church (congregation). Thank you, Diannaa, for your attention to this matter, and reminding me of the policy. Yes, WP:attribution, when entire paragraphs or sections are copied effectively, from one article, and pasted to another. Admittedly, I was not the sole creator of that previous section, but just a contributor. If I ever copy/paste a whole section etc from article to article, I'll remember to make clear where it's coming from originally, attributing correctly and appropriately. Thanks for fixing it in the edit summary. Much appreciated...again, for your time and consideration to the matter. Regards. Historium Scriv (talk) 21:32, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Eucharistic theology, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Body and Blood of Christ (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
