I want to go on to leave some friendly advice, particularly after your recent comment on the talk page for Eugene Eubanks. Wikipedia's policies and guidelines can be confusing, and learning how to write a good article takes one a few tries. (Or it did for me, anyway.) One thing that is important in developing an article is to show clearly why someone is notable -- in my own early articles, I would often put this on the talk page. Notability guidelines for people are summarized in WP:BASIC, see also WP:NPROF for academics (Eubanks' best claim to notability appears to be through NPROF). Meanwhile, I encourage you to assume good faith (indeed, this is one of the guidelines here). Many of us are interested in improving articles on notable African Americans.
