Cyberspace.. The Best Duo Namibia Could Offer

At first, I had trouble coming up with a topic that could actually relate to what the assignment required from me, then I remembered that we could write about someone "Famous" and the first thing that came to my mind was my ever favorite Duo, Cyberspace. Cyberspace is a Namibian Hip Hop & R&B duo,which consists of two of the most talented Namibian artists,Cashley also known as Young Cash and Sally, the talented young lady with so much power in her voice. The duo are signed under DJ Kboz's Label called "The Turntable King".

My love for Cyberspace developed after I saw their music video "That's Why" playing on one of our National television channels. I was taken aback and for a moment I refused to believe that those were actually our very own Namibian products. Whenever the song played I would turn up the volume so loud and dance to the soothing tunes blended with that Jamaican Reggae flavor. I fell so in love with that song that I recorded it on my phone just so that I could listen to it whenever I felt like it. That's Why even reached number one on Fresh FM and simultaneously graced third place on Karas FM.

Cyberspace performed at last year's music nominations and this year after entering for the first time they scooped the Best Newcomer Award at this year's Namibian Annual Music Awards. It was something I expected but just knowing that you actually contributed to that achievement is an overwhelming feeling.

The duo are currently also working on solo projects and are yet to release their much anticipated album. It is no secret that I am actually a huge Cyberspace fan, and I will continue giving them all my support, not because I feel like it but because I know they really deserve all the love and support shown to them. Team Cyberspace till the end.
