 Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Sign your messages with four tildes (~~~~), be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, -- TNT (talk • she/her) 21:54, 8 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Good start. From the text it looks non-wp:notable but there's more info in the sources.....suggest adding it to the article. Happy editing!

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|North8000}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Hi @North8000:,
I appreciate the feedback. I am pretty new at this, I guess I struggle a bit to know how much and what to add to something like this. I could pontificate about various Portland Opens but I think the goal is to try to keep it succinct and high level. I guess I am wondering if you have any guidance for me that might be helpful.
Thanks! Hebrewhurricane (talk) 01:36, 21 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
If it was just a few "it happened" facts and then the results, it shouldn't be an article in Wikipedia because Wiki isn't about sporting stats. But you have sources which cover it in more depth. The best advice I can give is to cover the other angles that you sources have chosen to cover in more depth. Happy editing! Sincerely, North8000 (talk) 13:59, 21 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
