Well, it's down to you now, pal

edit

I'm retiring (though it's hardly been sudden, has it?!). If you can find it in your heart to go on updating all the Luton articles and lists, please do so. The last thing I'm going to do on Wikipedia is ensure that LTFC is on the main page on 11 April for the club's 125th anniversary, but other than that, I'm off.

Keep well. Cliftonianthe orangey bit 09:59, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

I can indeed find it in my vast, vast heart. You've done a great job and tons of the hard work, all I need to do is just update things as they go along! Good luck on getting the article to the front page, you definitely deserve it. Take care. Haruman215 (talk) 12:19, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

János Kovács

edit

Whoops, that was my mistake about Cirencester Town being in the János Kovács infobox; I left it there by accident after adding the infobox from another article! Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 12:02, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Haha, no problem. I checked the edit history beforehand and didn't think you'd be one to put something like that down without it being a mistake ;) Haruman215 (talk) 12:09, 26 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

LTFC players

edit

If you're up for a big project, how about helping me cut down the red-links on the list of Luton Town F.C. players? I've been intending for a very long time to eventually take it to FLC, if you fancy giving a hand.

Asa Hall

edit

Hello. Noticed your edit summary about Soccerbase stats not always being correct. What I've done elsewhere when Soccerbase totals have been wrong, as they often are, is add a hidden note by the relevant stat in the infobox, to encourage the updater to get it right: as at Cameron Jerome (Birmingham stats) or Neil Kilkenny (Leeds stats). Incidentally, Hall's Luton Town website profile has 74 apps rather than 73, are they wrong as well? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 09:33, 2 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stats

edit

Hey there, I was taking a look at 2009–10 Luton Town F.C. season#Player statistics and I think there might be a mistake with Ed Asafu-Adjaye's stats. Soccerbase (although they have messed up with this season's Conference stats) and the ESPN Game Log state he has made 20 league appearances, with the latter listing individually the game's he's been involved in and saying he made 18 starts and two substitute appearances in the league. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 17:18, 22 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Main page appearance

edit

Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on June 10, 2011. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/June 10, 2011. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article directors Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! ۞ Tbhotch & (ↄ), Problems with my English? 23:44, 8 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

    • It's kind of funny, though. I've failed to get it on three times, but this time, when it wasn't even me who nominated it, up it went! Still, never mind. It doesn't really matter. I understand that the new kit is actually going to have navy blue shorts and orange socks (just like the 1970s original) but obviously nothing can be confirmed yet. I also hear that there's going to be a "retro" away kit. What fun! Cliftonianthe orangey bit 14:37, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, as per the WP:FOOTY Player MoS, we are encouraged to keep the divisions in individual cells. I believe the reasoning behind it is related to accessibility, but I can't find any specific guidelines or discussions to expand on that. Mattythewhite (talk) 15:34, 6 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
