Hello, I'm GiantSnowman. I noticed that you recently removed content from Alex Iwobi without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Hello mate. I did explain the player is only playing as side midfielder and winger at his new club after leaving Arsenal in the edit summary but I understood, you made the call and I followed. Thanks. 02:56, 2 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Nathangelo Markelo article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 18:42, 17 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Edit war at Everton F.C.

edit

Your recent editing history at Everton F.C. shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Hi I understood, the problem has been sorted now. We compromised. Haklam1218 16:54, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why did you revert my edit to Anthony Gordon's playing positions to the incorrect version which I had corrected... and then change it back again? In addition, he IS an attacking midfielder as he often plays up the centre as well as the wing. 51.52.118.61 (talk) 08:38, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
He only played on the wing for Everton last season he barely played in the middle. He is a winger. Haklam1218 (talk) 18:47, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
This is clear enough stats. https://www.transfermarkt.com/anthony-gordon/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/503733/wettbewerb/GB1/saison/2021 Haklam1218 (talk) 18:48, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
I watched pretty much every match. Iwobi was mostly on the right wing and Gordon rotated with Mykolenko on the left, moving to support the strikers for around 2/3rd of each match. 5.81.14.202 (talk) 17:52, 18 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Live updates

edit

Please do not update player stats while the game is ongoing, this can cause confusion and errors and mistakes (e.g. what if a player later scores?). Please wait until the match has finished, or at the very least until a player's involvement in the game has ended. GiantSnowman 20:44, 12 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I see you undid my edits after the match finished - which is fine, except that the date/time tags are not misleading as the time is too early... GiantSnowman 09:06, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi, please keep this in mind. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:52, 29 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Doucoure

I didn't make the edit about his position. I am glad you corrected that but stop reverting my edits about his correct stats, you're just being difficult by reverting my good edits and not putting in any edit summary rather than being collaborative. Football infobox live update

edit

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. Please only update statistics within the infobox of a footballer once the match the player was involved in has concluded. This is to help avoid the stats being updated again by another editor once the match has finished, and to avoid having to undo the update in the eventuality that the match is abandoned.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:10, 10 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
