Unspecified source for Image:ACDC banner.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:ACDC banner.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 08:09, 16 February 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey 08:09, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Each of the images in the banner needs a source and license, if You are unable to do that then it is deleted. Also if even one of the images is fair use. feydey 12:38, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Kath article edit

Dear Sir:

I am simply adding badly missing content (early career) to the Kath wik page. The material I have used is practically word-for-word from the referenced source (www.timmwood/mystics The Mystics - Terry Kath's first rock band). Your friends are not editing, but for some strange reason preventing the development of the Kath page. This amounts to bullying. Please help me...I would be most appreciative. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mastersman (talkcontribs) 20:24, 24 February 2007 (UTC).Reply

The above referenced source contains pictures of Kath as well....can you ask for a more solid reference than that? Once again, your help would be most appreciated. Mastersman 20:35, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I added a reminder about Wiki-policy to the above editors talkpage. I also included a note about adding "word-for-word" copyvio content. I have setup a report to administration about the multiple policy breaking...including a possible sockpuppet IP request about the user due to the similarities to previous IP vandalism to the same article. If I submit the reports perhaps you could add comment. 216.21.150.44 20:42, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

But the word-for-word material is ***REFERENCED***....there is therefore no violation!!! You seem to be struggling for an argument to prevent the development of the Kath page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.150.49.50 (talk) 21:03, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

And why are your friends preventing the development of the Kath page anonymously (hiding their identity)? Maybe they realize what they are doing is wrong. Mastersman 21:42, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

The referenced article is written by journalist Tim Wood and is not a fansite. Mastersman 21:47, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Whitesnake-logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Whitesnake-logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Crstsk (talk) 01:09, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
