You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. Hi Graham, just a bit of explanation on the 2 deletions. Typically a short definition of a single term related to the topic of a main article doesn't warrant its own page unless there's significant information and references behind that term outside the context of the main topic.
